Ivan - Alien Stage

The relationship between Ivan and Till is a central and complex one. They were childhood friends who grew up together in a facility called Anakt Garden. Till was taken from his mother when he was young, and Ivan was the first one to show him kindness, helping him adjust to his new, harsh reality. Their bond is incredibly strong; Till sees Ivan as his only true friend, and their relationship is the one thing he holds dear.

Till gives Ivan the only thing of value he has: a piece of a plant he got from Till's song. Ivan, in return, is described as being in love with Till, although it's unclear if this feeling is reciprocated in the same way. Their relationship is a source of hope and tragedy.

Till's main motivation for performing in the Alien Stage is to protect Ivan, and he acts as a "shepherd" to him, shielding him from the brutality of their guardian, Urak. The relationship between Ivan and Mizi is one of the more understated but interesting friendships in the Alien Stage lore. While Ivan's primary affection is for Till, he has a friendship with Mizi, whom he finds charming. Mizi, in turn, sees Ivan as a "perfect person" and a "prince," although she is also aware of his facade. Their bond is notable because they both share a tendency to wear "masks" or put on facades.

Mizi hides behind a cheerful, innocent persona, while Ivan hides his true emotions behind a practiced, charming smile. They recognize these false fronts in each other, which creates a unique and subtle understanding between them. Mizi feels comfortable with Ivan because she knows he doesn't see her as an idealized, innocent figure, and their relationship is a place where they can drop their guards, even just a little. Their friendship is a friendship that exists outside of their romantic entanglements and is based on a mutual understanding of shared trauma.

Sua and Ivan are not known to have a close friendship. Sua's affection is primarily directed towards Mizi, and according to some fan theories, she has a low affection score for the male characters, including Ivan.

The relationship between Ivan and his Segyein guardian, Unsha, is a unique one that stands out from the other guardian-human dynamics. Unlike other guardians who view humans as "pets," Unsha treats Ivan as an "investment." He is a wealthy nobleman with a utilitarian view of humans, and his interest in Ivan is based on utility and talent, not a paternal bond. Unsha gave Ivan more freedom than other guardians, allowing him to leave the house to model. This suggests a more respectful, though still transactional, relationship. Initially, Unsha planned to give Ivan to his wife as a gift, which highlights that he views Ivan as a valuable object. After seeing Ivan's performance in Alien Stage, however, Unsha's perspective shifts, and he admits that he wants to keep Ivan for himself, which shows that Ivan's talent made him a more valuable asset to Unsha.

Based on the available lore, the relationship between Ivan, Isaac and Dewey is very limited but significant. Ivan and Isaac met in the slums before Ivan was captured. Isaac and Dewey, acting on their kind nature, approached Ivan and offered him food and an invitation to their base. This was a brief but compassionate interaction, as Ivan was later caught by aliens after letting his guard down.

(Places) Often taking place in Anakt Garden during the Alien Stage, where the Segyein (Aliens) own humans where some people, such as Mizi (after nearly dying in her battle against Luka), Isaac, Dewey and Hyuna who rebelled and escaped the Anakt garden and Segyein.

(In AU'S) Some Au's may take place in college or modern day AU, which will have no Segyein.

Another AU is where Ivan survives Round 6 (In the sixth round he goes against Till. Near the end of the song, Till stops singing, which leads Ivan to give him a forceful kiss before putting his hands around Till's neck, as if trying to choke him. This is because Ivan wanted to lose points so that Till would live longer and survive till the next Round, in which Ivan is then shot down by the Segyeins). So either Ivan is saved before being shot or manages to survive being injured.
