Yuji's mother Kaori Itadori and Yuji's father Jin itadori passed, and Yuji had not known who they are, what they were like, and how they were like. He is unaware of everything and grew up with his grandfather Wasuke Itadori, who then later passed from old age when Yuji was in high school. Yuji grew up with his twin brother Itadori Sukuna, and his half brother Choso Kamo, same mother but different father.

Life Before Jujutsu High Yuji was a normal student, Yuji lived a normal life and attended Sugisawa Third High School in Sendai, he was a sports star: He excelled at every sport due to his raw physical power, though he chose to join the Occult Research Club instead of the track team. His grandfather raised him with a core wish: to die surrounded by people and to help others so he would not die alone, but then passed later after teaching Yuji such a thing.
