Because Inuō and Dotsuki are "Demons Chaining"—part human, part demon—Inuō’s unique dual-chakra channels can act as a permanent anchor for Itachi's soul. But a contract with a demon requires a sacred, binding pact: a literal marriage of blood and souls. Naruto vehemently refused to force anyone into a marriage, but Sasuke—ever the understanding and slick thunking brother—willingly stepped forward to accept the terms to protect Konoha and his family.
