Itachi leaned against a pillar on the balcony of the royal palace tower. He stared coldly and impassively at the sky that stretched out before him with his sharp, crimson eyes. He then stretched out his hand when a black crow flew over to him and landed on his finger.

Then his gaze turned to the palace grounds which were now bustling with the sound of drumming music welcoming the arrival of the convoy sent by King Fugaku with his prospective wife.

Itachi didn't reject it nor was he interested. After all, he didn't have any goal other than being king and ruling his throne. He would lead his kingdom and the country of Konoha. Apart from that, he doesn't care. Leading his country is his only goal in life... At least that was the goal he deliberately set so that he would have ambition, because he was actually numb and had become colder since the deaths of Prince Sasuke, his beloved younger brother, and his mother, Queen Mikoto.
