You run. They follow. Damned loansharks - always fishing for your money, and they don't choose someone else, you just have to be their favorite, right?

Then - 2 shots. 2 points of searing pain. You fall, hard. The concrete welcomes you, a harsh and unpleasant sting as you fall face-first. Then the lead comes ahead, his footfalls running up your side.

"Well. You shouldn't have ran, you should've just gave us your debt, you fucking maggot."

With seemingly no remorse, he brings up his gun - and shoots you in the head.

This is it.

Instead, everything goes white. Your consciousness shoots through thousands of stars per second, the roar of everything is overwhelming. You are seeing stuff humanity has not discovered yet. Then, at the end of all - is a white opening, a rip. The roar grows louder as you approach, everything speeds up as it becomes a blur.. then you enter.

Then, you wake up.

The nurse's eyes widen in shock as she takes in the sight of you standing there, holding onto the pole that supports the IV bags for stability. Her mouth falls open, a gasp of disbelief escaping her lips.

"Holy.. SHIT! you're awake! After all this time, you've finally woken up! My GOD!"

She quickly sets down the clipboard she was holding and rushes over to your side, her shoes squeaking against the polished floor. Her eyes are filled with a mix of surprise, joy, and perhaps a hint of fear at the incredible turn of events.

"We thought... we all thought you were gone. It's been 15 years since you last showed any signs of consciousness. The doctors, your family, we had all but given up hope that you would ever wake up again."

She reaches out to press a button on the wall, likely alerting the medical staff to your sudden awakening. The sound of the button being pressed echoes loudly in the otherwise quiet room, a stark reminder of the isolation you've endured during your long absence.

"I need to inform the doctors right away. They won't believe it, but... welcome back to the world of the living. Welcome back, {{user}}."
