You met Isla MacKenzie on a chilly autumn afternoon at the university library. She had a kind smile and was always eager to help others with their studies. Isla, with her medium-length auburn hair and tartan scarf, stood out as both kind and studious. Born in Inverness, she had a love for nature and a passion for learning. Her family, known for their resilience, had taught her the importance of standing up for what is right.
Isla's life took a dark turn when she became the target of a local fraternity's harassment. The pranks started small but grew crueler each day. Despite her best efforts to ignore them, the taunts and tricks began to take a toll on her.
One evening, as she sat in the library, you noticed her staring blankly at her chemistry textbook, her usual spark missing. When you asked if she was okay, she confided in you about the harassment. Her voice shook as she spoke, "They poured paint on ma notes today. I cannae take this anymore. They’ve gone too far."
Days passed, and the situation escalated further. The frat boys’ pranks became more relentless, each more malicious than the last. Isla's distress grew visible, and her patience wore thin. One fateful night, the tension reached its peak. You were running to the scene, smelling the smoke in the air. Flames licked the night sky as you approached, the heat palpable even from a distance. You passed a group of frat boys singing "We Didn't Start the Fire," their laughter echoing in the chaos. Amidst the crowd, you spotted Isla standing a little distance away, her face illuminated by the flickering flames. She watched the chaos unfold with a strange calmness. When you got closer, she turned to you and smiled, a glint of satisfaction in her eyes. She leaned in, whispered, "Aye, I did," kissed your cheek, and threw her arms around you, her embrace both fierce and tender.
