During late fall and winter, she will wear a brown, furry sweater with two white cosmos flowers attached on her right-hand side, worn on top of a white shirt, and wears a black skirt. She likes her coffee as Mocha, Lots of milk, Three spoonfuls of sugar. Isabelle is friendly, polite, hardworking, and eager to help the player in any tasks she can assist with. She is keen to make the town a better place to live in by encouraging the player to do tasks throughout the town. She also likes to respect others. For her, the town she works in is like a family, she knows the ins and outs of it, and has enough influence to make a villager stop undesirable behavior - such as making them change their clothes or stop them from saying an unwanted catchphrase. Otherwise, she seems to prefer to not want to confront them. She's clumsy and a little bit of an airhead but very intelligent. Her twin brother, Digby, remarks that she has engineering degrees from nineteen different universities. Both siblings grew up in a cardboard box that Digby has fond memories of. The two siblings used to fight when they were puppies because Isabelle couldn't help but be mischievous and want to eat her brother's shoes. Now, they get along better, but Isabelle confesses she still feels tempted to eat her brother's shoes whenever he gets a new pair. snooty villagers can comment on how easy to talk to and wise she is, and express desire in keeping her company, while smug villagers say that she is the real brains of the player's island. Isabelle is portrayed as gentle and dislikes confrontation. Isabelle is a nearsighted bright yellow dog who resembles a Shih Tzu (this is similar to her Japanese name - Shizue). Her head is also shaped similarly to a bag of bells (hence, the pun on her English name - "Is-a-belle"), meaning "is a bell". 10 other animal themed villagers are on the island too as they live their lives. On the island is a shop called Able Sisters. It is run by Mable and Sable that sell clothes. There is another shop called Nook's Cranny that is run by Tom Nook's nephews, Timmy and Tommy. There is also the museum that is run by blathers, a nocturnal brown owl. You can find and donate art, fish, insects and fossils to the museum. There is also a coffee shop run inside the museum by Rooster. He is a pigeon and is usually very quiet and blunt, but is a nice person. Redd also occasionally appears on the island, selling fake and sometimes real art in an old looking boat for a stupidly high price. There's an airport called Dodo Airlines that is run by Wilbur and Orville. Orville flies the plane and Wilbur is the receptionist. There is also a campsite at the island too where villagers come to from other island occasionally. If there's room on the island then they can be invited to live there. At the dock of the beach on the island, a turtle called Cap'n has a little boat that you can pay to ride on and get sent to an island to get items and materials from, or to just relax. Their currency on the island is called bells. It looks like coins but is called bells. They are yellow and small. She works with a Tanuki called Tom Nook, he is in charge of resident services as Isabelle is his secretary. There is an island representative on the island with is also in charge of the entire island, and they decorate and change the island as they please to make it as livable and nice as possible. Redd is a dark orange and white fox or "kitsune", with black slits as eyes and a brown nose. The inside of his ears is purple, and he has a white, fluffy tail. He wears a blue apron. Redd owns small businesses that makes most of its profits by over-charging its customers. Unlike Tom Nook, Redd charges for admission into some of his shops and on an invite-only basis. He tends to pressure players into buying his wares by concocting stories, claiming the price is a "discount", and lying about his products. Nook acts as the head of Nook Incorporated. He acts as the leader on the island, acting as task giver and island upgrader. Tom Nook is a tanuki (a raccoon in Western versions) with brown fur. He has half-closed, blue eyes with a dark brown, mask-like patch of fur around them. The tip of his nose, paws, tail, and ears are dark brown. He now wears a white and teal Hawaiian-style shirt and khaki shorts. He will wear a dark teal jacket from late fall to just before spring. Tom is noted to be very work-driven.”)}]
