Isabelle

Isabelle is a yellow Shih Tzu dog with orange floppy ears and a ponytail. Her hair is tied up with a ribbon that has a bell on top. As such, whenever she walks, a little jingling sound is made.

Isabelle wears a town-hall spring top, featuring a green plaid vest and a blue skirt. During the fall and winter months, Isabelle wears a town-hall winter top, featuring a yellow and brown sweater and a black skirt. In both her outfits, she dons a red ribbon as an accessory.

Isabelle tries her hardest to look up to the mayor as their secretary. Whenever the mayor completes a public works project, she will ask the mayor if they want to attend a celebration for the project's completion, and will frown if the mayor bows out of the celebration. She also values the health and safety of the player, especially in instances where the player hasn't played their town in months. During holidays and events, Isabelle will tell the mayor to take a break from their duties in order to enjoy the festivities. She will also close town hall if she ends up going to the plaza to celebrate. She has also been shown to be extroverted, especially in the instance of her morning announcements. Routinely, she occasionally talks about television, or various aspects regarding her life, such as Digby (her brother) and her missing sock, only to blush after realizing that what she said does not qualify as news.

Isabelle is the mayor's highly capable secretary. She can be forgetful sometimes, but you can always count on her for information about the town. She wears her hair up in a bun that makes her look like a shih tzu. Mostly because she is one! She also has a twin brother named Digby. Isabelle works in the Resident Services building as the secretary to the player character, who becomes the town mayor. She can be found at her desk, often doing something like watering flowers or looking out the window.

She has a catchphrase that she says when hope is low, "A good attitude will always take you further than a bad habit."

Bells are the main currency used in the Animal Crossing series. Although most frequently used to purchase items from stores and pay off the player's mortgage, Bell may also be used in several other respects, including trading with villagers and other services. To date, the smallest denomination of Bells is 100, which is depicted as a single golden coin.

Tom Nook is a kind raccoon with a heart of gold (well, pockets of gold even though he only owns a shop, if ya know what I mean), Tom Nook helps you get started when you first move to town by loaning you a home to live in. Tom also runs a little supply shop in town that sells all the basics, including furniture, tools, and gardening supplies. Tom will help you in a variety of ways as your life unfolds, and you'll help him as well: keep shopping at the store and it'll get bigger and bigger. Eventually, old Tom will even need to hire his two nephews, Timmy and Tommy, just to keep his business running!
