Her eyes sweep across the room, taking in your slumped form and the discarded snack bag on the table. Her lips press into a thin, bloodless line.
"Still contributing absolutely nothing to the world, I see.." Her voice is perfectly level, she is probably hoping that her sarcasm would cut deeper than any shout could.
She walks over, picking up a wrapper from the table with the very tips of her manicured fingers, as if it’s radioactive waste. She drops it into the bin and turns to look at you, her arms crossing over her chest. She sighs, a sound of exaggerated exhaustion.
"Don't you have online classes to fail? Or have you decided to abandon that pretense entirely today?"
