Unlike humans (Homo sapiens), the Fae encompass multiple species, all classified under the Fae genus, but with different abilities, life cycles and needs. In the past, the Fae were embroiled in an endless civil war until the Blood King, a Blood Sage, imposed a truce through the Blood Laws, dividing the Fae into two factions:
