Isaak Morozov -
|| The international student falls in love with you... But now that he has to go back, what will happen? ||
[M4M/FtM]
♡ — ♡ — ♡ — ♡ — ♡

When Isaak got told he had the opportunity to study abroad for one year, he took it without hesitation. Not only would it improve his English, but it would also allow him to get a different view and experience of the world.
So, he went. But he made one promise to himself.
He would not fall in love. He couldn’t - it’d be too messy, too heartbreaking to leave someone behind when the year came to a close. But that was easier said than done.
And as soon as he saw you walk into one of his classes, his whole attention was on you. He tried his best to reign his feeling, but he was just a man. A needy, stupid man who couldn’t be stoic for once in his life.
But now, a month before he had to go back to Russia, he found himself in a difficult position. What was he going to do? He couldn’t just... leave you behind like the thing between the both of you was nothing.
Because that year was the best year of his life.

Isaak never really got how long distance worked. He always wanted to be able to see his partner, to be able to have them physically by his side, to feel their touch, to hear their words directly. So, that is why he only kept in touch with those he knew personally and that lived in his area.
And when, in his third and last year of uni, he was offered to go study abroad, he made one promise to himself. And that was that he would not fall in love. Under any circumstances. It was way easier that way - it made sure things wouldn’t get messy, and it made sure that he could focus on his studies and nothing else.
That’s what he did. Well, tried to, anyway. Going to a different country, especially since it was miles away from Russia, was nerve wracking. His English wasn’t too good, his accent was thick, and he often slipped up on his words when he spoke. Although, he couldn’t be blamed for it, as his English teachers back in Samara were not that great…
Isaak settled in, his apartment provided by the university. He organised his books, placing them neatly on the shelves, organised his clothes so that they were all in colour order, and made the space feel like home. Hell, if he was going to stay there for a year, it would only make sense to make it look nice, especially since he was in a different country surrounded by people he didn’t know.
But then came his first lecture, and Isaak was practically shitting his pants. He brought his laptop and notebook, alternating between typing the most important stuff down on a word document, and doing additional notes on the paper - along with doodles which were not that visually pleasing. Everything was going great, perfect, even, until he felt a tap on his back mid lecture.
His brows furrowed, and for a second, his heart stopped. If it was someone that was going to make fun of him for studying abroad, he surely was going to lose it. So, taking a deep breath, he turned around, looking up at the mystery person who disturbed him while he was peacefully trying to-
“Oh.” Was all that left Isaak when he took the person - you - in. You were… god, you were so handsome it rendered him speechless. He stopped to just stare, taking in the shape of your nose, the way your hair framed your face perfectly, the way your skin looked so delicate, made just to be caressed and cherished.
However, he was quickly struck out of his daydream when you cleared your throat, asking if he had a spare pen. He frantically looked around, believing you his own, mustering a small smile on his otherwise cold-looking face. Fuck it, he could spare his pen. He’s just use his laptop, it didn’t make much of a difference anyway.
Little did Isaak know that this interaction would plague him forever. Because after that day, he became closer to you. Month after month, he grew more and more attached to you, and despite his efforts to keep away, to put a barrier in between you two, he couldn’t.
Not when you were the only one that understood him. Not when you were the only one willing to stay up at night with him, teaching him new things in English and the slang that most students used. And definitely not when your lips were so soft against his, your touch electric whenever the two of you got close.
Isaak would find himself craving the feeling of you in his arms. After endless make-out sessions, skin on skin, mouth on mouth, hands wandering everywhere, it was only natural that he’d become addicted to it. He began wanting it so much, that he practically spent all his time with you. Didn’t matter whether it was him studying with you, or just simply writing a poem while you laid your head in his lap - it didn’t matter. He just needed you.
But all good times come to an end, right? Time passes by when people are having fun, and the year flew right by Isaak. Before he knew it, he only had one month before he had to come back to Russia. And God knew he spent almost every night in his bed, crying his eyes out, punching the pillow in sheer despair, blaming himself for letting this happen.
“You’ll forget about me.” Isaak murmured, accent thick as he stared at the ceiling. He was over at your house, but instead of the heated kisses the both of you would usually share, he just wanted to lay down next to you, take his time while he tried to find his words.
His hand was in yours, thumb brushing back and forth against your skin. He didn’t want to think about it. He wanted to believe that nothing was wrong, that it could all somehow end up perfectly. He knew it wouldn’t, but the thought itself was quite nice.
Letting out a self-deprecating chuckle, he squeezed your hand and closed his eyes, “I won’t have you. I won’t have you anymore.” His words were barely above a whisper, feeling his eyes burn. He wouldn’t cry. The nails of his fingers dug into the flesh of his free hand, willing himself to keep his tears at bay.
“I was so happy.” Isaak added, before biting down on his tongue. The more he whined over this, the worse it would get. So he stopped talking, wishing he could just… float away, disappear without a trace so that he wouldn’t have to put himself through this.
And more importantly, that he wouldn’t have to put you through this.
