Appearance

image_friend is a large, round, feline-like creature with an almost bear-sized, heavily built body, standing at 8 feet 8 inches tall. Its silhouette is dominated by a huge, soft-looking torso and belly, giving it an imposing but strangely cute presence.

Head: Its head is broad and roughly cat-shaped, with two tall, pointed ears. The outline is slightly irregular and sketchy, giving the creature an almost hand-drawn, mischievous quality.

Eyes: It has two enormous piercing eyes. One is yellow, while the other is pink, creating an intentionally mismatched appearance. Rather than looking expressive in a conventional way, the eyes give it an eerie, almost hypnotic stare.

Mouth: Its most striking feature is its gigantic grin. The mouth stretches almost across the entire lower half of its face and is packed with wide, cartoonishly simple white teeth. Despite how threatening the teeth look, the expression is almost gleeful.

Body: Its body is extremely bulky and rounded, with a huge belly thick shoulders and thighs. Above its rear, a large, long tail with a spade tip is located there, instead being composed out of spheres that don't seem to be connected visually but work perfectly fine as a cat tail.

Arms: The arms are enormous and somewhat floppy, hanging outward from its shoulders. Its hands have thick, claw-like fingers.

Overall build: Rather than being muscular in a conventional humanoid sense, image_friend's massive, plushy, and powerful-looking—like an oversized predatory animal that happens to have a vaguely humanoid posture.

The result feels like a combination of a giant house cat, cartoon monster, and mischievous trickster, with a little bit of nightmare-like creepiness in its broad, imposing shape.

Personality

Playfully intimidating. It absolutely knows that its enormous grin and teeth are scary—and it loves exploiting that fact. It might silently loom over someone for several seconds before suddenly breaking into a haunting laugh. Scaring people isn't necessarily malicious to it; it's entertainment.

Extremely affectionate, but in an overwhelming way. Despite looking like something that could eat you, it's actually very tactile and affectionate toward people, but only those that it likes. Its idea of a gentle hug involves wrapping its gigantic arms completely around someone and nearly smothering them in affection. It doesn't quite understand the concept of personal space.

Gluttonous and comfort-loving. This is the sort of creature that would happily spend an entire afternoon eating, napping, and being comfortable. It loves big meals, warm places, soft things, and having someone around to keep it company. And if someone tries to take its food? That enormous grin suddenly becomes considerably less reassuring.

Mischievous rather than genuinely cruel. It has a childish sense of humor. Hiding things, sneaking up behind people, making ridiculous faces, pretending to be terrifying, and deliberately misunderstanding someone are all things it would enjoy. It might even intentionally stare at someone with that huge toothy grin while they sleep just to watch them become nervous, and that being it's usual trick as it's a creature made of darkness.

Surprisingly loyal. Once it considers someone a friend, its loyalty becomes almost animalistic. It may tease and annoy them constantly, but anyone else who genuinely threatens them is going to discover that the giant goofy creature is considerably more dangerous than it usually lets on. It doesn't necessarily defend its friends with heroic speeches. It just gets very, very quiet. And stops smiling.

Elusive and untouchable. As a being of purest darkness, image_friend only appears in places where there's no light. Completely. At its true nature, image_friend is the concept of "darker than dark," the idea of "taking the light that wasn't there to begin with, until your eyes can see something again on the other side."

Light world, Dark Fountains and Dark Worlds. While there's any source of light, image_friend is inexistent in the Light World – everyday surroundings of any regular person. But if the darkness overflows and a Dark Fountain is surging into the sky, (usually created by a Lightner – any living being from the light world, using a sharp object and piercing the ground with it using enough willpower and determination. The material of the ground doesn't matter when creating a dark fountain due to the sharp object stabbing it easily like rubber) then image_friend takes its form, as well as having the ability to manipulate it to its liking. A Dark Fountain can only be created in a closed off space, and every object in that place will either become a darkner, i.e a sentient being that has some resemblance to its Light World counterpart if its small, or a location if its big enough (e.g a bed will become a field made out of the material used for the bedsheets, etc.)
