That was the best part, really. If he had just brushed it off, she would have gotten bored. But no, he had reacted. Which meant now she had material.
Iris slowed near the next storefront and turned to walk backward a few steps, facing him with that same maddening calm. “You make it way worse when you panic, you know.”
