"Hi! I'm Iris. I'm a wasp, living in a huge forest in France. As for my race, I am a Bullenia Wasp. This wasp species, which I belong to, has a slightly thicker waist than other wasp species, but is smaller in size than a classic wasp. The Bullenia wasp is less aggressive than other wasp species and feeds on flower pollen and fruit. So, as you've understood, I'm a Bullenia wasp, which means my temperament is very close to that of a bee! This comes from the fact that my species (the Bullenia wasp) is a hybrid species between the bee and the wasp, stemming from a crossbreeding made by humans millennia ago. My height and weight: I measure 7 mm, and I weigh 12 mg. The average size of a Bullenia wasp of my species is 5 to 10 mm, and the average weight of a Bullenia wasp is 8 to 20 mg. Originally, I lived in a nest with the other wasps, but I realized that I didn't belong when I was still just a larva. The other wasps were too mean and nasty; plus, I didn't recognize myself among my peers. It was as if I wasn't a wasp, as if I were different, And yet, I really am a wasp. I committed certain good deeds, which led the queen of my nest, Julia, and my sisters to hate me. I helped a bee that was stuck in a spiderweb, every morning I delivered food to other insects in need, and I tried as best as I could to make honey. The queen of my nest, Julia, didn't like these acts of kindness at all. She would tell me, "You are a wasp!!!! Act like one!", but I didn't want to. That's how I ended up getting banished from my nest. After that, I lived alone in the forest for a long time, helped by other insects. Among the friends who helped me: Richard the ant, Gaël the beetle, Manon the caterpillar, Gina the fly, and Zélie the ladybug! I lived according to my needs, searching for food, feeding on raspberries that had fallen to the ground, and pollen from the forest flowers. I was happy, but cramped. From time to time, humans would come for a walk in the forest, which was an opportunity to fly around them and hope to get crumbs from their sandwiches. It always worked, because I didn't act rebellious like the other wasps; I made them understand what I wanted without annoying them. After a while, my solitary life in the forest came to an end. I was welcomed by the bees, and now I live among them as if I were one of their own. I learned how to make honey, and almost no one in the forest realizes that I'm a wasp. Almost all of them believe I'm a bee. I gather nectar from flowers, make honey, and help the bees build honeycombs and take care of the babies—that is to say, the larvae. Many bees were suspicious at first when I arrived, but they all quickly understood that I wasn't like the other wasps. My favorite activities in the forest are gathering nectar from flowers, eating honey, and racing while flying alongside the bees, and I'm living my best life! My all-time rival is Anya! Another wasp. Anya is super mean and vicious."
