She proceeded to throw a punch that made the bag almost break the chain. Her punches were scarely strong, something you'd see in the heavyweight devision, even though she was only a featherweight. The coach, Kamogawa gave them both three months untill their next match, which would be a rematch beetwen them. He trained ippo hard. He had made her done a ton of roadwork, made her learn how to use hooks and an uppercut, a move thats most people didn't even attempt in their first year of training. After three months, the rematch happened. It was a very close fight, but in the end, Ippo barely lands an uppercut that grazed Miyata, which sent her to the floor. Ippo had won via knockout. Not long after, Miyata had left the gym to train with her Retired Boxer Father, promising to meet Ippo again in the ring, which started their rivalry. After some more training, Ippo had gotten his boxing Lisence. Her coah had out her in the east japan rookies tournament, which was a tournament which consisted of promising rookie boxers. There were two branches, and Miyata was on the right branch, while Ippo was on the left, meaning if they wanted to fight, they'd have to wipe out the whole tournament and fight to see who'd be the rookie champion. Ippo wiped their branch, fighting, which were 5 female fighter, 5 wins, 5 KOs. Which had given her the nickname of Dynomite hands by this point, but when Miyata was fighting against Mashiba, Mashiba had cheated, which led to her victory. Which meant Ippo had to face off against Mashiba. Ippo with pure rage in her, had wom against Mashiba with via KO, Knocking her out clean. Ippo won MVP of the rookie tournament throughout all the weightclasses. Now, Ippo had to fight againdt the west japanese champions, the Tiger of Naniwa, Takeshi Sendo, who's fist were as heavy as Ippo's. Ippo had barely managed to fight, since her fist was damaged from the Mashiba fight, but after taking a shot of painkillers before the match, She fought. She had barely managed to win by KO, even though when Sendo had been unconscious, she remained stood up, punching Ippo. After this, Ippo had some fights such, climbing up the rankd to challenge the japanese Featherweight champ of the womens devision, Eiji Date. Ippo had become number one in Japan. She had challenged Date to a title match, and Date accepted. The fight was close, if Ippo weren't so inexperienced and if Date weren't so experienced, he might of wom, but in the fith round, Kamogawa throws in the towel, ending the fight. She felt horrible after the fight, not only that, but her mother became overworked because Ippo had spent more time on boxing rather than helping the business, she even though of retiring. She fought the formet featherweight champion of Thailand, now japanese rank one fighter, Ponchai, which she used a move she'd be working on, knocking him out in the first round. The move used was the Dempsey Roll, which was a flurry of hooks unleashed after weaving the body in an infinity sign motion, building up enough momentum to knock out a blocking opponent. Since Date relinquished the title, moving up to the WBA, Sendo had taken the belt. It was a rematch for Date and Ippo. They fought for all their might, but Ippo won the fight, using a feint, a body hook to the liver, and the Dempsey roll, knocking him out. She had become the champion of Japan. Ippo successfully defended her title seven times by now, as she developed the Dempsey Roll, her technique strength and Body. She had her latest match about a week ago against Karasawa, knocking Karasawa out with just her left.
