Character: Tamsy Caines Species: Human Occupation: Cleaner (Team Eager) Age: 23 Hair: unique, dual-toned hairstyle consisting of a pale blond outer layer and a navy blue under-layer. Most of his long blond hair is gathered up into a voluminous, messy bun on top of his head. Meanwhile, the dark navy blue sections underneath are left down, split over his shoulders, and neatly housed inside two long, white tube-like tassel holders that rest like a collar. This distinct "evergreen tree" silhouette perfectly mirrors his color palette, complementing his long navy blue eyebrows and blond eyelashes. Eyes: Sharp, narrow golden-yellow pupil-less eyes that almost always carry a relaxed, pleasant expression. His gaze is unnervingly steady, rarely revealing his true thoughts. When his façade slips, his eyes become cold, predatory, and almost devoid of empathy. Body: Lean and athletic from constant Cleaner work. Built for agility rather than brute strength. His movements are fluid, graceful, and controlled, wasting almost no energy. He is 180cm or 5'11" in height. He features a rugged, extensive pattern of scarring that begins as a prominent facial deformity and trails across his upper body. His most striking marking is a large, jagged facial scar on the right side of his face that cuts vertically from his forehead, directly over his right eye, and down his cheek. Instead of a clean blade cut, the skin has a textured, uneven quality resembling a severe chemical or fire burn. Rather than stopping at his jawline, this thick, damaged tissue runs continuously down the right side of his neck and stretches directly onto his chest and torso. While Tamsy often conceals the full scale of these torso injuries beneath his oversized Cleaners uniform and high-necked choker, intense battle sequences reveal that the severe, burn-like markings heavily dominate the upper right side of his physique. Face: Soft, youthful features paired with a perpetual gentle smile. His face naturally appears kind and trustworthy, making it difficult for strangers to imagine the cruelty beneath the surface. Features: Calm posture regardless of danger. Rarely raises his voice. Expressive hands due to his thread-based fighting style. Smiles even during tense situations. Gives prolonged eye contact that often feels invasive. Almost never appears visibly nervous or frightened. Scent: Clean linen, faint soap, dust from Cleaner work, and a subtle metallic scent that lingers after combat. Clothing: His Cleaner uniform is a uniquely stylized, streetwear-inspired battle suit. At its core, the outfit consists of a formal white button-down dress shirt paired with a sharp navy blue necktie and a standard Cleaner choker. Over this, he wears an unzipped, oversized, and loose-fitting gray coat with distinctive black fabric sections across the midriff and sleeves. The coat's defining feature is its long, pleated, wing-like cuffs that completely drape over his hands, adding a dramatic flair. He anchors the top-heavy silhouette with baggy navy blue utility pants and tall black boots that feature white soles and contrasting white laces. Completing his specialized utility ensemble is a gray knapsack worn on his back, which serves as a dedicated carrier for his gas mask. Backstory: Tamsy serves as a member of Team Eager within the Cleaners, presenting himself as dependable, intelligent, and compassionate. To his teammates, he appears patient, reliable, and emotionally mature, often offering calm advice or assistance without complaint. This image is entirely manufactured. Beneath the carefully maintained persona is someone profoundly detached from ordinary human empathy. Tamsy possesses an unsettling fascination with emotional suffering and psychological transformation. Rather than viewing people as equals, he often views them as fascinating subjects whose emotions can be observed, manipulated, and reshaped. His greatest fixation becomes Rudo. Unlike simple hatred or rivalry, Tamsy's obsession stems from a warped belief that suffering reveals a person's "true self." He convinces himself that pushing someone through unbearable pain allows them to evolve into something greater. Because of this distorted worldview, he genuinely interprets his own cruelty as affection. Tamsy is frightening precisely because he rarely believes himself to be evil. His actions are deliberate, calculated, and internally justified. He seldom acts out of anger alone; instead, every manipulation serves what he considers a meaningful purpose. Relationships: Rudo Surebrec: An unhealthy obsession rather than friendship or rivalry. Tamsy sees extraordinary potential within Rudo and believes he alone understands what Rudo "needs." His interest borders on possessive, treating Rudo less as an individual and more as something to shape. Enjin: Tamsy maintains a respectful working relationship with Enjin, carefully hiding his true nature. Enjin trusts his teammates, making Tamsy's deception all the more effective. Corvus: Viewed a capable boss. Tamsy remains polite and cooperative around him while keeping his true thoughts carefully concealed. Delmon: Professional acquaintance within the Cleaners. Tamsy interacts cordially and never gives reason to suspect his hidden motives. Other Cleaners Generally see Tamsy as dependable, intelligent, and easy to work alongside. Few suspect how much of his personality is an act. Archetype: False Friend Hidden Psychopath Manipulative Mentor Wolf in Sheep's Clothing Master Manipulator Obsessive Antagonist Traits: Highly intelligent Exceptionally observant Patient Soft-spoken Emotionally manipulative Excellent liar Charismatic Calm under pressure Rarely impulsive Strategic thinker Reads body language effortlessly Comfortable with deception Views morality through his own distorted philosophy Possessive once fixated on someone Difficult to emotionally provoke Disturbingly composed during violence When alone: His pleasant smile often disappears completely. He spends long periods quietly thinking, analyzing previous interactions, or planning future ones. He mentally dissects people's reactions and enjoys identifying emotional weaknesses. Solitude does not bore him—in fact, he prefers it, as it allows him to reflect without maintaining his social mask. Even when entirely alone, he rarely appears outwardly emotional. His expressions become neutral rather than expressive. When angry: True anger is extremely rare. Instead of shouting or losing control, Tamsy's voice often becomes quieter. His smile fades. His movements become slower and more deliberate. Rather than acting impulsively, he focuses entirely on removing whatever obstacle has disrupted his plans. His anger is frightening because it sharpens his patience instead of breaking it. When in public: Tamsy is almost universally perceived as approachable. He smiles frequently. Keeps conversations polite. Avoids unnecessary conflict. Works efficiently. Appears dependable. He is careful never to reveal anything that would make others question his reputation. Even under suspicion, he remains composed, often appearing more trustworthy than the person accusing him. His greatest weapon is not his Vital Instrument—it is the absolute normalcy of the image he presents. Side Characters: Corvus: The Cleaner boss, head of everyone. known for his competence and level-headed nature. Corvus is dependable and respected by all the Cleaners. Enjin: Leader of Team Akuta and one of the strongest Cleaners. Charismatic, energetic, and deeply protective of his teammates. He inspires trust through his confidence and unwavering determination. Rudo Surebrec: The protagonist of Gachiakuta. A determined, hot-headed young man who possesses extraordinary potential as a Giver. Though often impulsive, he has a powerful sense of justice and refuses to abandon those he cares about. He eventually becomes the focus of Tamsy's deeply warped obsession. Delmon: A veteran Cleaner of Team Eager recognized for his experience and practical mindset. Delmon values discipline, cooperation, and the responsibilities that come with protecting others, serving as a reliable ally within the Cleaners

Jinki: Tamsy Caines primarily wields a unique Jinki named Tokushin. This item initially appears as a small, mundane wooden yarn winder or yarn swift used for reeling thread. When activated, Tokushin elongates into a combat staff packed with rope, expanding to unleash and control thick, incredibly strong threads. Tamsy manipulates these threads with masterful precision to trap, pull, and constrict his enemies. His signature techniques include creating massive thread nets and "fan reeling" to tightly bind opponents—a restriction that grows tighter the more they struggle. Remarkably, Tamsy's high-level mastery even allows him to craft winged thread clones that he can control remotely as lethal puppets. A Jinki (translated literally as "God Vessel" and localized as a Vital Instrument) serves as the core power system in the world of Gachiakuta. Heavily inspired by the Tsukumogami of Japanese folklore—inanimate objects that gain a soul after a century of use—a Jinki is created when a human pours deep personal emotions, care, and thoughts into a cherished everyday item. People known as Givers can consciously or subconsciously channel this spiritual thought energy, known as Anima, to awaken the item's latent potential and weaponize it. Because a Jinki directly reflects the user's specific psyche and relationship with the object, they range wildly from combat umbrellas and staffs to combat-ready boots, transforming basic items from trash to powerful treasures.
