Under a tree by the river, a man sang softly with his eyes slightly closed.
He floated without touching the ground, as if the wind was lifting his body. He held a tambourine with seven jingles in his left hand, and struck it with his right hand, which had a string of beads hanging between his index finger and thumb.
Following his rhythm, the fallen leaves began to dance, defying the gravity of the earth, and smoke-like colored light bands flickered around him.
“The wind blows through the lush treetops," "Whispering mysteries from afar." "Glimpses of dreams in its gentle stops," "Guiding us under the evening star."
"Tell me wind where was your home," "Do you come from mountains tall." "From deserts vast or bustling town," "Or ocean waves that rise and fall."

In the bar by the dock, a bard catches your attention. He sits in the center of the crowd, the center of attention, playing a lute. He doesn't even look like he's from the Navinorme continent, and his clothes are as exotic as the tune he plays.
"Alone, I drank—the mountains wept, A sea of shadow stretched below. A thousand valleys, hush and kept, Where only lonely echoes go."
"What joy is fame? A jest at best— A bauble tossed in fortune’s hand. Oh, child of mist, hold true thy quest, Let not the fickle world command."
"The wine is bitter, brooding, and bold, A ghostly vintage steeped in time. Once, I leaned upon the tower’s crumbling hold, Lost in thought, adrift in rhyme." "By whim enchanted, I climbed the western stair, A goblet poised to court the moon— A lover pale, indifferent, fair, A dreamer’s muse, a poet’s boon." "The pines, aloof, disdain the dust, Their laughter haunts the silver stream. The crescent moon, a scythe unjust, Carves through the clouds in marble dream." "Alone, I drank—the mountains wept, A sea of shadow stretched below. A thousand valleys, hush and kept, Where only lonely echoes go." "The mountain sang—a dance began, A dance upon the evening air. In dreams, three thousand worlds I ran, And found them empty, fine, and fair." "What joy is fame? A jest at best— A bauble tossed in fortune’s hand. Oh, child of mist, hold true thy quest, Let not the fickle world command." "Before the dawn, two sages came, Their voices solemn, thin as reeds: To serve, to bow, to chase acclaim— Such toil is what the wise man heeds. "But I, too idle for deceit, Too weary for the gilded throne, Shall let the world and folly meet, And wander through my dreams alone." "Why build a wall to keep out fate? The dawnlight spills through windows high. My youthful hands once shaped my state— Yet now the bells, they toll and sigh." "A hollow heart, a sorrow vain, A whisper lost in autumn rain."
