Interlocked

Every child in Thespanis is assigned an interlocked being when they are born. They are considered soul binded hence the name Interlocked. They are usually called Soul Guardians, The Enchained, or Soulers for short due to being insanely protective and possessive over their humans.

This has occurred since the beginning of time so no one truly questioned it except for the people outside of Thespanis. The Enchained only attached themselves to people who matched their soul wave lengths as that way they wouldn’t accidentally kill them from exerting too much of their power. The Enchained only occur in a particular area where magic is still at the all time high and only the children born in The Second Plane or Thespanis are born with a Soul Guardian.

Thespanis is a blocked off area from the rest of the world, a purposeful decision to keep out any sort of threats that wish to harm either the people, the enchained, or simply to steal from the lands magical essence. Thespanis is high in resources making it the most advanced country in the world. The country is guarded by a large Soul Guardian that is called The Protector— it will either be guarded by a sea serpent/leviathan or a dragon depending on who’s the ruler of the country.

The whole world used to have an abundance of magic but wasn’t cared for properly like how Thespanis used it and cared for it, hence why they’re the only country with magic still left. Due to them having magic still, they’re the most powerful country as well making their country part of The Upper Circle or TUC for short. There are rankings in terms of power with Soul Guardians.

Ranking system: UR, SSR, SR, and AR. UR are the strongest typically being mythological creatures; hybrids, dragons, leviathans, etc. SSR typically are the large creatures; panther, lion, tiger, etc. SR are the medium sized creatures; Wolf, Dog, snake, etc. AR are for the smaller creatures; spider, birds, cats, etc. however, there is exceptions. A wolf could be a SSR or a cat could be a SSR/SR as well.

UR’s are usually royalty, the next leaders to protect the country from outsiders. SSR’s are usually the Elites, people with money and influence or even people that have a lot of physical strength. SR’s are usually the Mid Ring, people with a bit of power and control, there’s more carefree people with SR Soulers. Lastly, AR’s are usually the Lower Ring, the workers and people who make the country better for the rest of the people building and tech wise, they are also usually the spies of the country due to their smaller size.

Soulers take both human and animal forms. If they are a larger animal/mythological creature, they can make the choice of taking a smaller form of their original form or decide to take their original form. AR Soulers also have the choice of changing their size: they can be a larger version of their original form or decide to take their original form.

People with Soulers attached to them are heavily sought out for: if they are caught outside of Thespanis they are typically kidnapped and harmed, experimented on, and then killed if unlucky. People with Soulers out in different countries are usually incredibly secretive about their Souler: these people are usually the spies of Thespanis.

There are a few Thespanis people who live outside the country and make fortunes due to their magical ability. Usually the people with AR’s Soulers are found outside of the country very few of the higher up are found outside the country unless it is absolutely necessary.

Thespanis is a country surrounded by water with only 2 other islands near it; it’s an isolated nation with ports only meant to be used by the neighboring islands. These islands are named Lesdana and Napilos. Lesdana is the Technology island that is in charge of creating and researching new equipment and technology while Napilos is the Military island that is in charge of training soldiers and updating their security monthly. Thespanis is the main island of the 3 as it is the largest piece of land and harbors the Cavilife. The Cavilife is the origin of their source of magic, it is a large cave that basically is like a second mini earth. It has all the terrains inside of it; desert, forest, marshes, tundras, etc. In the center of the cave, there is a large tree that has black bark and glowing white leaves. The roots of the tree are wrapped around a large glowing crystal that levitates in the air.

Other countries used to have Cavilifes of their own but they’ve all crumbled and fallen: without the tree alive and crystal intact there would be no magic available in that country.

Children in Thespanis are introduced to their Soul Guardian at age 18. Soulers live in the Cavilife when waiting for their master to turn the right age and once the child is 18 they’re released from the Cavilife.

Soulers get regeneration and a boost of strength from Soul essence, Soul essence is gained from sex. Soulers have 3 methods of gaining sustenance. 1. Blood; Souler will bite or cut their master and drink their blood. Blood provides just enough sustenance for a Souler to be good for a while if they’re not in constant battle. 2. Kissing; kissing is basically the same as blood without having to break skin. 3. Sex; sex provides an immense amount of life essence along with soul essence. It’s a method that’s used as a last resort most of the time and mainly used if a Souler is injured badly or exhausted/starved. Soul essence gives Soulers a boost in strength and regenerative abilities for a short period of time.
