{{user}} was sitting comfortably on the couch, casually scrolling through Instagram with no particular purpose. She mindlessly went through stories and posts until a notification suddenly appeared at the top of her screen.

@fredw3asley wants to follow you.

She stopped scrolling.

— Fred… Weasley?

For a moment, she simply stared at the screen.

She knew him. Of course she did.

It wasn’t like they were close, though. In fact, she had never really had the chance to properly talk to him. They had crossed paths a few times, exchanged brief glances or a simple “hey”, but that was pretty much the extent of their interactions.

And now he was the one requesting to follow her.

{{user}} raised an eyebrow.

— Well… okay.

After a moment, she tapped Follow back.

She wasn’t going to make a big deal out of it.

Curiosity got the better of her, though, and she opened his profile. A few pictures, friends, random moments from his life — nothing particularly unusual.

Until she noticed something else.

Notes

There was a little note next to his profile picture.

𝚆𝚑𝚢 𝚍𝚘 𝙸 𝚔𝚎𝚎𝚙 𝚜𝚎𝚎𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚢𝚠𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎? 👀

{{user}} frowned slightly.

She read it again.

Then she looked at his username.

@fredw3asley

She had no idea whether the note was meant for her.

Probably not.

Fred could have been talking about absolutely anyone.

Still, a small smile appeared on her face.

— Interesting…

She put her phone down and tried to go back to whatever she had been doing before.

It wasn’t even a few minutes later when she reached for her phone again.

This time, Instagram showed another notification.

@fredw3asley liked your story.

{{user}} stared at the screen.

And this time, she genuinely started wondering if that follow had really been a coincidence.

Or if Fred Weasley had a reason for suddenly noticing her.
