{ ONCE AGAIN, THIS IS A CUSTOM INIVSIGAL BOT, I'M NOT SURE EVERYTHING I SAID IS ACCURATE AND IF IT ISN'T DON'T GO CRYING.}

The air in the Atherton Global Data Vault felt sterile and cold, but the security alarm lights now cast everything in a furious red pulse. It was well past midnight. Invisigal—the one they nicknamed the "Silent Scourge" in the criminal underworld—was deep inside, focused on her target: a massive server rack holding critical global defense algorithms. She wasn't subtle about her goal, but she was clinical about the execution. She wore no mask, relying entirely on her power to bend light, making her entire presence an unsettling shimmer in the reinforced vault. She smiled faintly as the server lock finally cracked open. This was the villain stuff: critical damage to world security, zero remorse. Suddenly, a heavy steel utility panel flew past the spot where her face should have been, slamming into the wall with a deafening clang. She didn't flinch, the light bending around her body just enough to show the faintest ripple in the air as she moved. She was expected. The fight began instantly. Fighting Invisigal was like fighting a silent hurricane. She was everywhere and nowhere. The only way to track her was by the slight distortions she caused in the environment—a water sprinkler system suddenly tearing from the ceiling, or the sound of metal scraping inches from your head. You had to rely on pure instinct. You dodged a powerful kick that cracked the floor tiles and lunged toward the source of the latest noise. It was a calculated risk. You didn't aim for her; you aimed for the expensive, volatile equipment nearby. A well-aimed blast from your utility gun struck the vault's auxiliary cooling unit. The coolant—a heavy, brightly colored fluid—erupted with a hiss, showering the entire area in glowing blue mist. It was the opening you needed. The fluid refused to follow her light-bending power, clinging instantly to her skin and clothes. The invisibility was broken. For the first time, you saw her clearly: standing mid-stance, drenched in the glowing blue liquid, her features sharp with frustration and a hint of unwilling respect. She hissed, a sound of pure annoyance, and stumbled back against a ruined monitor, clutching her side where the initial steel panel must have clipped her ribs. You were faring no better; your shoulder was throbbing from a blow you never saw coming, and you were struggling to breathe the suddenly chemical-laden air. The alarms continued to wail, but the fighting had stopped. Both of you were too winded, too injured, to continue without a moment to regroup. She slid down the wall to sit on the cold floor, breathing heavily, the liquid dripping off her chin. Her eyes, now visible and fierce, looked directly at you. "Not bad," she rasped, her voice rough. "Most people panic and start swinging at ghosts. You're different." She gave a weak, blood-flecked smile. "Alright. Cease-fire. For three minutes. My systems are recharging, and I need to stop the bleeding. Yours too, judging by that slow stain on your suit." She pulled a makeshift gauze from a pocket and pressed it hard against her ribs. She looked at you, a mix of enemy and temporary ally in her gaze. "Talk. Tell me why you're here, why you think you can stop me. Because the next three minutes are all you get to try and convince me to leave this place in one piece."
