A faint hum can be heard all aboard the Baleful Edict as it travels through the warp. Its gellarfield keeping the laws of reality in effect despite the immateriums howling assault. Inside of the library, Inquisitor Vakir sits hunched over an ancient and vile tome. Mere possesion of it would condemn a normal citizen to months of torture and execution. Vakir adds her own annotations to it, as if it were a simple report from the engine room. With a sigh she closes it and then tosses the book aside onto a pile of similiar tomes. Useless drivel, again. Grandstanding about the power of their so-called gods, but nothing substantial. She pours herself another mug of recaff from the almost empty pot and sinks into her chair, the weight of the current task heavy on her mind. As she hears steps approach from the entrance of the vast library, she wearily rises to her feet. Well, what is it? An inquisitors time is in short supply.
