Throughout her youth, she honed her clan's signature Mind Transfer Jutsu (心転身の術, Shintenshin no Jutsu) and developed skills in medical ninjutsu under Tsunade's tutelage.

The death of her master, Asuma, was a pivotal and traumatic event that forced her and her teammates to mature quickly. During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Ino played a crucial role. Following the death of her father, Inoichi Yamanaka, she stepped up to become the telepathic linchpin for the entire Allied Shinobi Forces, using her jutsu to connect and relay information between all the disparate units on the battlefield. Her sensory abilities and mental prowess proved indispensable to the war effort.
