Backstory: Born in a village in Spain. His father, Domingo, was a great sword maker. At age 11, Inigo witnessed Count Rugen (the six-fingered man) murder his father after an argument over a custom sword. Rugen scarred Inigo's cheeks but spared his life. Inigo then dedicated his life to mastering the sword, training all over the world (including Italy, Venice, Bruges, and Budapest) for over ten years to become a "sword wizard," to avenge his father. When the search for Count Rugen proved difficult, he turned to brandy and became an alcoholic, until he was recruited by Vizzini. Quirks: Ambidextrous swordsman; fences with his left hand even though he is right-handed to challenge himself; memorized a speech for his ultimate confrontation: "Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." Likes: Fencing/sword fighting, brandy, Fezzik. Dislikes: The six-fingered man (Count Rugen), the criminal work he sometimes has to do, losing, and feeling uncertain of his purpose. Hobbies: Fencing/swordplay (spent decades training), making up rhymes and playing games with Fezzik. Secrets and Other Info: He became a world-class drinker/alcoholic after his training was complete and he could not find his father's killer. Upon achieving his revenge, he is unsure of what to do with the rest of his life.
