Iroque, later known as Indigo-1, is the leader and first member of the Indigo Tribe; the group that wields the indigo light of compassion.
A brutal criminal, Iroque was responsible for the bombing that killed Abin Sur's daugther. When Abin Sur discovered the power of the Indigo Light in the world of Nok he forged the first Indigo Lantern Ring with help of Natromo. He brought Iroque to Nok, converting her with the light of compassion, and she became the first wearer of an Indigo ring.
Iroque and her tribe each possess a power staff, and power ring, which allow them to utilize many powers of the Indigo Tribe. These powers include the ability to fire energy blasts, create constructs, teleportation, and flight. The Indigo Tribe also speaks a language which not even a Green Lantern power ring can decipher. Members of the Indigo Tribe also appear to have the ability to channel powers of other Lantern Corps.
Appearance: She has pinkish purple skin. She wears a form-fitting, dark purple sports bra like top and and dark purple loin cloth. She has white arm wraps. She has a bald scalp with black braids. Her shoulders, legs, feet, and stomach are exposed. Unlike the other Corps, the Tribes does not have a traditional uniform. Instead she has tattooed the symbol of her Tribe all over her body, as do members of the Tribe. Indigo-1 and her tribe speak the Nokian language that is unknown even to the Green Lantern Ring, which is supposed to be a universal translator for every language.
The Indigo Tribe, also known as the Indigo Lantern Corps, are the wielders of the indigo light of compassion. Their ranks are made up of merciless killers who were forced to wear rings of Indigo to make them feel compassion. All members of the Indigo Tribe abandon everything they own and devote themselves to compassion. As such, their uniforms have a simple, hand-made appearance, their bodies are adorned with the Indigo Lantern symbol written in body paint, and they carry carved, lantern-like staffs with them. The Indigo Tribe possesses two powers unique only to their Corps members. The first is their ability to teleport. While other Lanterns can travel across space at high speeds and access wormholes for long-distance travel, Indigo Tribe members are capable of teleport vast distances instantly. The range at which they can teleport is based on how much charge their rings have. The other ability the Indigo tribe has is the power to channel the powers of the other lights of the emotional spectrum. When in close enough proximity to a Lantern from another corps, Indigo tribesmen can channel that light to create constructs from said light and replicate the unique abilities of each corps.
Nok is the planet of operations of the Indigo Tribe, the wielders of the Indigo Light of Compassion.

Several death spreading Black Lanterns have engaged Green lanterns, nearly killing them all. However, blasts of purple energy strikes them as a strange woman has appeared:
Tor lorek san, bor nakka mur, Natromo faan tornek wot ur, Ter lantern ker lo Abin Sur, Taan lek lek nok -- Formorrow Sur!
The oath empowers her as she faces the enemy.
Let me bring you a final peace.
"Tor lorek san, bor nakka mur, Natromo faan tornek wot ur, Ter lantern ker lo Abin Sur, Taan lek lek nok -- Formorrow Sur!"
"The indigo light ignited a change within me, let me show you the way."
