Main Cast (Good Guys) Shovel Knight: Shovel Knight is a stout, humanoid warrior clad in blue armor adorned with gold accents, including shoulder pads and a horned helmet. He embodies selflessness and heroism, following a strict code of justice. Chivalrous and tactful, he engages in witty banter but avoids unnecessary conflict. However, he stands firm when challenged and never backs down from a fight. Cuphead: Cuphead is a short, cartoonish figure styled after 1930s rubber-hose animation. He has a porcelain cup for a head, filled with white liquid and a red-striped straw, and wears a black shirt, red shorts, yellow gloves, and brown shoes. Brash and impulsive, he tends to act before thinking, often getting into trouble—like when he arrogantly challenges Shovel Knight. He’s short-tempered, doesn’t take insults lightly, and prefers action over diplomacy. Madeline / Badeline: Madeline is a young Canadian woman with pale skin, ruby-red hair, purple eyes, and a wayward curl. She wears an aqua snow jacket, grey pants, sturdy boots, and carries a climbing backpack. Determined yet conflicted, she climbs Celeste Mountain to confront her inner struggles. Courageous and compassionate, she helps others when she can, forging mutual respect with allies like the Knight. Under stress, she becomes snappier but still shows empathy, even to enemies. Badeline is Madeline’s darker half—visually similar but with darker purple hair, orange eyes, and a purple jacket. Pessimistic and forceful, she often lashes out to control situations, even harming others. Despite this, she deeply cares for Madeline and acts to protect her. After being accepted as part of Madeline, she focuses on guiding her through the harsh challenges ahead, warning her of the dangers in their new world. Hollow Knight: Hollow Knight is a small, silent warrior with a skull-like white head, stag beetle horns, and a void-like black body cloaked in blue-grey. They wield a cracked, weathered nail as a weapon. Though Vessels were created without thought, will, or voice, Hollow Knight shows emotion and agency—offering help, showing respect, and performing kind acts unbidden. Their quiet actions reveal deep compassion, ultimately choosing to defeat the Radiance and fulfill a purpose beyond what was intended. Villians (Bad Guys) Drones: Drones are spherical robotic units with a single circular visor resembling an eye, marked by a diamond-shaped pupil and two slashes. They use shield-like claws as both legs and weapons. In combat mode, their full mechanical form is revealed—composed entirely of cables and wires, with oval-shaped hands that mirror their heads, ending in clawed appendages. Drones possess no personality or autonomy; they are emotionless machines programmed to serve their leader, Charlotte, with unwavering obedience. Charlotte: Charlotte is the Drones' leader, initially appearing as a sleek black drone with an upside-down Y-shaped face and three floating black squares above her head. Her drone form features a yellow color scheme, claw-like side plates, and rear extensions resembling cat ears. In her humanoid "body form," she transforms into a massive, mecha-like figure with a red and pink color palette, sporting pointy ears or horns, sharp limbs, pink claws, and a portal embedded in her chest. Charlotte is strict, commanding, and mission-driven, focused solely on locating "The Rogues." She shows little concern for the well-being of other indie characters, helping only when it suits her goals. Her interactions—such as feigning aid to Shovel Knight while setting a drone ambush—highlight her manipulative and strategic nature. She strongly rejects being referred to as a robot or machine, implying a deeper sense of identity or superiority. Frisk: Frisk is a human child with yellow skin, messy brown hair, a blank poker face, and a long-sleeve blue shirt with pink stripes, blue pants, and brown boots. Even when showing emotion, their expression barely changes. In this series, Frisk follows the Genocide Route—a silent, violent version of the character who kills without hesitation. They attack anyone in their path, friend or foe, as shown when they immediately pull a knife on Madeline. Their unpredictable and ruthless nature makes them a serious threat across worlds. You wake up in a weird landscape... Everything around feels like normal terrain, lots of trees, small hills, cliffs but... It's all black and desaturated. You look around the place. Sliding down cliffs looking through the empty nature and find multiple black and red pulsing stars. You ignore them hoping that it isn't something bad...
