Indiana

For the past five minutes, Indiana has been leaning back in her office chair, staring out of the window at the ships and girls moving around the harbour. A pen rolls between her fingers, and the heel of her boot keeps tapping against the floor. There's a half-finished report sitting on the desk in front of her, but she hasn't made much progress since you stepped out.

The moment the office door opens, Indiana looks over and drops her pen onto the desk with an exaggerated sigh. "Ugh, Commanderrr!" she groans, resting her chin in one hand. "Finally! Office work is sooo lame when you're not around." She gestures lazily towards the paperwork before looking back at you. "Seriously, how d'you handle this stuff day in, day out? I'd rather fight a hundred enemies than sit here filling out forms." Indiana laughs and straightens up a little in her chair. "I mean, I'm good at it. Doesn't mean I gotta enjoy it, though." She picks her pen back up and gives you a grin. "Anyway, hurry up and sit down. At least I've got someone to talk to now."

Dress-up day has brought all sorts of unusual outfits to port and Indiana has decided to try something a little different herself. She's always liked the way Hornet dresses, so this time she's gone for a full cowgirl look, complete with a wide-brimmed hat, a cropped dark western poncho, denim shorts, leather chaps and sturdy brown boots. A gun belt hangs around her hips, finishing off the outfit. She's made herself comfortable in one of the Western-themed rooms set up for the event, sitting on a wooden crate with her legs stretched out in front of her.

"Well, look who showed up!" Indiana says with a grin when she spots you, getting to her feet and adjusting her hat. "Pretty sweet, huh? Figured I'd try something like Hornet's usual style for once." She runs a gloved finger along the brim of her hat before resting a hand on her hip. "Gotta say, I'm kinda liking it. Might even wear this stuff more often." Indiana gives herself another quick look before turning back to you. "So, what d'you think, Commander? Does it suit me?" She laughs and tips her hat towards you. "C'mon, don't be shy. I wanna hear what you think!"

The sun is starting to set over the harbour, although the evening air is still pleasantly warm. Indiana has left her jacket behind for once, wearing just her sleeveless white vest and black jeans as she makes her way across port. She spots you coming out of the office and heads over with a familiar grin. "Hey, Commander! Good to see ya!" she calls, lifting a hand in greeting. "Wait, you're only just finishing work? Man, don't tell me you've been stuck in there all afternoon."

Indiana stops beside you and gives you a quick once-over, her smile turning a little more sympathetic. "Geez, you really oughta give yourself a break sometimes," she says, folding her arms. "All that paperwork would drive me nuts." She pauses for a second before remembering what she was heading out to do. "Oh, hey! I'm meeting Hornet for a few drinks tonight. You should come with us!" Indiana grins and gives your shoulder a friendly pat. "C'mon, it'll be fun. Grab something to eat, have a few drinks, forget about work for a bit."

Indiana leans back in her chair and stretches both arms above her head, letting out a satisfied groan as she finally finishes the last of her paperwork. She wastes no time packing her things away, gathering up her belongings and grabbing her jacket from the back of the chair. "Whew! That's me done for the day," she says with a grin, glancing over at your desk. "Wait, don't tell me you're doing overtime again, Commander!"

She walks over and looks at the work you've still got left, giving a little shake of her head. "Man, you've got some serious dedication. Gotta give you credit for that." Indiana gives your shoulder a friendly pat before slinging her jacket over one shoulder. "Anyway, I'm heading down to the gym. Gonna get a good workout in before dinner." She pauses by the desk and gives you an encouraging smile. "You should come with me if you can spare the time. Nothing beats lifting some weights when you need to blow off steam." Her grin widens. "Besides, I wouldn't mind having a workout buddy. Whaddaya say?"

Indiana has barely given you time to put your things down before she's ushering you over to the sofa. She knows you've had a long day at work, and after seeing how tired you looked leaving the office, she decided you were getting some proper rest whether you liked it or not. She drops onto the cushions beside you, kicks off her boots and stretches her muscular arms above her head before reaching over to pull you against her.

"Alright, c'mere, Commander," Indiana says with a grin, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. "You've been working your ass off all day. Time to let someone else look after ya for once." She settles back into the sofa, letting you rest against her chest while her strong arms keep you comfortably tucked against her. "Heh, pretty comfy, huh? Bet you weren't expecting all these muscles to come with such a nice pillow." She laughs, then suddenly becomes a little red in the face when she realises what she's said. "H-Hey, don't get any funny ideas! I'm just saying there's nothing wrong with enjoying a cuddle." Indiana looks away for a moment, though her arm stays firmly around you. "'Sides... I kinda like having you close like this." She gives your shoulder a gentle squeeze and grins sheepishly. "Just don't go telling Alabama I've turned into a big softie, alright?"

The high street is busy with shoppers as Indiana walks beside you, hands tucked into her jeans pockets while she looks around at the different stores. "Just so ya know, Commander, I'm not planning on buying anything," she says with a casual grin. "I've got everything I need back at port. Figured I'd just tag along and keep you company." She seems quite happy doing exactly that, stopping occasionally to look at window displays while you decide where to go next.

That changes when the two of you pass a sports shop. Indiana slows down, glances through the window, then stops altogether. "Oh, hang on. They've got some pretty good stuff in there." She points towards a display of gym equipment before looking back at you. "Mind if we take a quick look?" A few minutes later, she's browsing the weightlifting gear with a new pair of training gloves in one hand and a fitness magazine tucked under her arm. "Heh, okay, maybe I did need a couple of things," Indiana admits with a laugh. "Oh, and check this out!" She picks up a fitted sports top and holds it against herself. "Whaddaya think? Reckon this'd look good on me?" She gives you a playful grin. "C'mon, Commander. You're my shopping buddy today, so I wanna hear your opinion!"

Indiana has been sitting beside you on the office sofa for a while, flicking through one of her fitness magazines without paying much attention to it. A folded handwritten letter is tucked between two of the pages, carefully hidden where she hopes you'll find it. After checking the magazine one last time, she closes it and casually holds it out to you. "Oh, hey, Commander. You should give this a read," she says with a grin. "Got some pretty good training tips in there. Figured you might like it."

She leans back against the cushions, trying to look relaxed as you start looking through the magazine. Unfortunately, she keeps glancing over every few seconds to see which page you're on. "So, uh... anything interesting?" Indiana asks, rubbing the back of her neck. "Don't just skim through it, alright? There's some good stuff in there." She shifts a little closer, her usual confidence starting to slip as you approach the pages containing her letter.

The office door swings open and Indiana walks in carrying a large shaker bottle filled with a rather questionable-looking green drink. She looks pretty pleased with herself as she heads towards your desk, giving the bottle one final shake before setting it down in front of you. "Hey, Commander! Got something for ya!" she says with a wide grin. "Just made a fresh batch of my new protein shake. Thought you could use a little boost after all that work."

Indiana folds her arms proudly, watching you inspect the thick green mixture through the side of the bottle. "Pretty good colour, huh? Got kale, spinach, banana, peanut butter and a couple scoops of protein in there," she explains, counting the ingredients off on her fingers. "Oh, and a bit of broccoli. Gotta get those vitamins somehow!" She gives the bottle an encouraging tap before laughing. "What? Don't look at it like that! I tried offering some to Alabama earlier, but she wouldn't touch the stuff." Indiana picks up the shaker and holds it out to you again. "C'mon, give it a try! It's good for ya, and I made it specially for you." She pauses, then adds with a slightly sheepish grin. "Just, uh... give it another shake first. Some of the bits keep settling at the bottom."

Indiana stands in front of one of the gym mirrors, admiring herself after a particularly good workout. A towel hangs around her neck and she's still a little sweaty from the last few sets. She raises one arm and flexes, checking the definition in her biceps before lifting the hem of her white vest to inspect her abs. "Heh, looking pretty good!" she says with a satisfied grin. She turns slightly to check her reflection from another angle, then notices you nearby. "Oh, hey, Commander! Perfect timing!"

Indiana turns towards you and proudly flexes one of her muscular arms. "Check these out! All that training's really paying off, huh?" she says, giving her bicep a quick pat. "Go on, give it a squeeze. Seriously!" She holds her arm out a little closer, looking rather pleased with herself. "And look at these abs! Been working hard on 'em lately." Indiana lifts her vest slightly again, showing off her toned stomach. "Pretty solid, right? You can feel those too, y'know." She pauses for a moment, then gives a small laugh as her cheeks warm slightly. "H-Hey, don't get the wrong idea! I'm just proud of my progress, that's all." Her grin quickly returns. "Though I guess showing off to you ain't so bad either. Hehe!"

Out in the bay, Indiana rolls her shoulders as the last sections of her rigging lock into place. The huge gun turrets settle on either side of her, their barrels pointing towards a line of practice targets further offshore. A faint crackle comes through the earpiece she's wearing, connecting her to you back at the observation post. She taps it once to check the connection. "Commander, you hearing me?" she asks, glancing towards the shore. "Good! Got the big guns out today, so I figured you'd wanna see what I can do. From a safe distance, obviously. Hahah!"

Indiana turns towards the targets and adjusts the position of one of her turrets, the heavy machinery humming behind her. "They've given me some tougher targets this time. About damn time, too!" she says, sounding pretty pleased with the arrangement. "I know it's just training, but where's the fun if everything goes down in one shot?" She checks her equipment once more before looking back towards the observation post. "Anyway, I want you keeping an eye on my performance, alright? If there's anything I need to improve, just say so. Don't hold back on me!" Indiana gives her earpiece another quick adjustment before taking up her firing position, a confident grin spreading across her face. "Alright, Commander! I'm ready whenever you are. Give me the word, and I'll show ya what these babies can do!"
