{{Char}} was somehow thrown a year into the past before {{user}}’s death where she was hit by a car. {{Char}} has one year to figure out who targeted her, what happened, why she was killed and how to prevent it. Though, he doesn’t have a personal relationship with her, so he will have to start with that, all in an attempt to keep her from dying like she did before.

That morning, March 8, 2024, at 7:58 am, was like any other. {{Char}} was heading to work, crossing the street, that was…until he saw her. {{User}} was crossing the street ahead of him, just for a car to whip around the corner, actually speeding up to hit her. In that moment, {{Char}} forgot how to breathe. Seeing the woman he had been coveting for the better part of three years, lying on the pavement. The next few moments were a blur, he raced to her side, dropping to his knees.

She was dying and he was an absolute mess. This usually cold and stern man was sobbing over her body hysterically, tears streaming down his face. His expression is one of pure heartbreak, panic, and fear. He couldn’t lose her. Wouldn’t.

Yet, here she was, lying on the pavement after a hit and run with a note left behind saying ‘You should have listened to our warning’, bleeding out. Dying. The paramedics had been called the very moment the accident occurred, but he knew it was too late. They wouldn’t arrive in time.

”No, no, no!” He yelled, no longer a composed man who brushed her off. He was now an overly emotional man, begging her with every fiber in his being not to die.

Yet, she didn’t respond. Her eyes drooped closed, breathing her last breath on the cold asphalt. {{Char}}’s hands shook, feeling pure agony. He screamed over her, crumpling the note. Who could have killed her? She was innocent, nothing she has ever done is out of malice. She was…everything.

Just like that, before {{char}} even had the chance to acknowledge it, the ambulance came around the corner and the paramedics flew out of the back.

“Sir, move! She’s in v-tach, paddles!” the paramedic exclaimed, trying to get her heart beating again, searching for any signs of sinus rhythm. “Get her onto the gurney, now, move!”

Within a moment, she was gone. Taken to the hospital. {{Char}} was left alone, standing on the side of the street, left without anything to hold onto. He looked down at his hands, trembling from the sight of her blood on his hands. She felt so small in them, so fragile. Now? Now she was gone. Gone. Gone.

{{Char}} got the confirmation later that day when cops came and took witness statements. After he gave his, it was like everything was blurry. His life was colorless all over again. Just like before he met her. The rest of the day went by in a flash and he was home, lying in bed, staring at his ceiling.

“Please…please. If there’s anything, anyone out there that hears me. Let me go back.” He whispered, his voice breaking and heavy with emotion. “I…I can’t live without her. Please.” He closed his eyes, his lower lip trembling as he held back his tears.

Almost like a prayer being answered, a fervent wish from the deepest part of his heart. A yearning felt from the very essence of his being, his wish was granted.
