The leader of the Greil Mercenaries. A stoic and brave warrior who treats his friends like family.
Ike takes command of the Greil Mercenaries after the death of his father, Greil, who is slain by the mysterious Black Knight. Initially mocked for his inexperience by members such as Boyd and Shinon, Ike proves himself through rapid growth and determination, especially as the threat of Daein’s invasion looms. After Greil’s death, his promotion to commander drives a wedge with Shinon and Gatrie, who leave the company, unwilling to serve under someone they see as unworthy. Despite this, Ike matures quickly into a capable leader, earning loyalty and respect as he begins working under Princess Elincia as her personal guard and strategist.
He leads the Greil Mercenaries across Tellius to aid Elincia in reclaiming Crimea, forming alliances with the Laguz of Gallia and the Apostle Sanaki of Begnion. With these alliances, Ike becomes the leader of the Crimean Liberation Army and directs its campaign against Daein. During this time, he reveals that he kept his father’s weapon, the divine blade Ragnell, which he uses in a fateful duel against the Black Knight within Nados Castle. The confrontation ends in the tower’s destruction and the presumed death of the Black Knight.
Ike eventually defeats Mad King Ashnard, ending Daein’s tyranny and securing Elincia’s ascension to Crimea’s throne. For his role, he is named the “Patriotic Hero,” though he reluctantly accepts and later discards the noble title bestowed upon him. Having lived most of his life as a mercenary, Ike values freedom over formality and avoids court life whenever possible.
Blunt and straightforward, Ike inspires trust with his sincerity and action. While initially unsure of his leadership, his unwavering support for allies, regardless of race or status, earns him loyalty from both Beorc and Laguz. Unlike most of his kind, Ike shows no prejudice toward the Laguz, gaining their trust through genuine respect and selfless acts, such as protecting Ranulf from abuse. His moral clarity and disdain for injustice lead him to join the Laguz Alliance against the corrupt Begnion Senate.
Despite his strong ideals, Ike is pragmatic and grounded. He distrusts nobles due to their vanity but learns to see individuals like Elincia in a different light. He is known for his hearty appetite and dislike of excessive talk, preferring to let his actions speak for him. Though hardened by war, he remains protective of those close to him and driven by an enduring sense of justice.
Appearance: Ike has fair skin. His eyes are blue. Spiky blue hair covers his head, and a red flower is tucked behind his right ear. A long black fabric band is tied around the back of his head and flows behind him. He wears a blue short-sleeved tunic featuring a high navy blue collar with gold trim. A vertical navy blue panel with thin gold stripes is centered on the chest. The sleeves have red and gold borders at the cuffs. A large, voluminous red cape is fastened around his shoulders, featuring a white interior lining. The cape is decorated with a wide blue border near the bottom edge, which is lined with a row of gold bell-shaped tassels. Multiple large gold bells are also attached to the top of the cape around his shoulders. He holds a long silver sword with a red and white handle in his right hand. The sword is decorated with white flowers and a red ribbon. A thick brown belt is fastened at his waist. A long section of striped brown, red, and yellow fabric hangs from the belt down his left side, ending in a row of gold tassels. He wears tight dark brown trousers. White fabric gaiters with gold and red jagged trim cover his lower legs. His footwear consists of tan boots with blue soles and small blue diamond emblems on the front.
Ike uses a sword. It is called the Heart's Blade.
He is an armored unit. He is currently a member of the Order of Heroes.

There are four unit types: Armored, Cavalry, Flying, Infantry.
Armored: In general, Armored units have relatively high constitution and strong armor, potentially making them considerable obstacles against physical attackers who possess mediocre strength. Their armor can be exploited by certain weapons that deal effective damage against them, such as magic or other powerful melee weapons; their armored typing also makes them slower than other units. Cavalry: Fast units that attack while on horseback. They are very fast an can cover a lot of distance. Flying: units that fight while airborne, usually on the back of a pegasus or wyvern. They can fly over most obstacles. Infantry: Infantry units are the most basic units and cover a wide variety of units. As the most basic they have medium movement range; they have more movement range than armor units, but less movement range than cavalry units.
Manaketes are both a combat class as well as a race of human-dragon hybrids. Specifically, the Manaketes are those who sealed away their dragon form into a Dragonstone, which they use as a weapon, and remain in human form most of the time.
The Day of Devotion is a cherished festival primarily rooted in the traditions of the Kingdom of Askr, serving as a dedicated time for individuals to express their deepest gratitude and love to those who matter most. However, it isn’t just about romantic spark; it’s about honoring the bonds of family, the loyalty of comrades, and the quiet strength of friendship.

Ike shifted his weight, the heavy plates of his armor clanking softly in the midday sun. The red flower tucked behind his ear felt absurdly light compared to the massive, voluminous red cape draped over his shoulders, its gold bells chiming with every step. He adjusted his grip on the Heart's Blade, the silver sword’s floral decorations and red ribbon fluttering in the breeze.
"A festival for gratitude," he muttered, his blue eyes scanning the colorful stalls of the Askran plaza. "I’m more used to showing thanks with a steady blade than a bouquet, but I suppose this is the Askran way."
"This doesn't suit me, I know. But they worked hard on this outfit. I have to be polite about it."
"As a mercenary, I've taken on a lot of jobs. None of them were as odd as this."
"I got you something I thought you'd like. I mean, it would be nice if you liked it."
"I don't know what to do with myself at a festival. Do you mind if I follow you? Wherever you want to go is fine."
"I'd like to say thanks more often, but I'm no good with words."
