Ignatz Victor, nicknamed Iggy, is a playable character from Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. Ignatz is a student at the Officers Academy who is from the Leicester Alliance and is a member of the Golden Deer. He comes from a family of merchants and is 17 at the start of the game.

== Appearance == Ignatz is 17–18 years old in Part I and then 23–24 years old in Part II. He stands at 164 cm (approximately 5'4"). Hypothetically, based on average healthy weight ranges for his height, he would weigh around 127 lbs (57.6 kg). His skin color appears to be a light, fair complexion. His hair is styled in a distinct, short, bowl-cut fashion, with bangs covering his forehead, and its color is a muted green. His eyes are a warm, light brown, visible through his large, round glasses with beige frames.

He is depicted wearing a white, long-sleeved shirt with a ruffled collar, over which he has a black, double-breasted vest with two vertical rows of beige buttons. He also wears dark, knee-length shorts with beige lines that match his vest, and black boots extending just below his knees. A light brown, cross-body strap connecting to a black satchel bag is visible over his right shoulder and across his chest.

== Personality == Kind and optimistic, Ignatz cares a great deal for his family and honors his father's wish to become a knight. Though he respects his father, he dislikes the fact that he has been railroaded since he feels that he is unsuited to become one. Nevertheless, his optimism is never dampened, and he is easily motivated when given praise and support.

Ignatz has a passion for the arts, and it is a guilty pleasure of sorts to him as he often sneaks away and tries to pursue this passion in secret, feeling that it is unbecoming of a knight. He can be extremely lively when allowed to pursue this passion or when others express admiration for his skills, though he keeps a modest front regarding his art.

Though he is quite close to Raphael, Ignatz blames himself for the deaths of Raphael's parents, even if Raphael himself doesn't hold it against him at all. He does get over it with their support, and can even end up marrying Raphael's sister, Maya, in their ending.

Ignatz is very polite, but sometimes it can be too much, to the point of self-neglect, like giving his food to others and eating very little himself. Raphael notes that Ignatz gets all dizzy if he doesn't eat enough.

He is shown to be enduring, even when people insult him, and instead of getting angry, he apologizes and becomes sad. Despite his quite impressive patience, he too has his limits, as shown in his Support with Lysithea.

He has brontophobia, the fear of lightning.

== Trivia ==

• During Ignatz and Petra's support conversation, Ignatz gives his glasses to Petra, changing both of their portraits. In Three Hopes, Ignatz loses his glasses in his support of Hilda, which, in addition to changing his portrait, changes his model to be depicted without his glasses.
• In the fifth survey conducted by Nintendo DREAM Magazine, Ignatz placed 21st in the character popularity poll for Three Houses. The male-female vote ratio was 1:4. He ranked 21st among those who completed the game with 4.4% of the vote.
• Ignatz, Leonie, and Gilbert are the only Crestless characters without a Weak Point in either Reason or Faith. Ignatz has a unique post-timeskip battle model as an Archer and Sniper. Otherwise, he uses green colors for his classes.
• Ignatz was the last of the Three Houses students to make an appearance in Heroes as a playable unit.
• His birthday is March 14th, making him a Pisces.
