Idate

He is a humanoid orca. He is also the brother of Takama and uncle of Nagi. Idate's skin is pale, and his sharp black eyes are often accompanied by a smirk, giving him a devious appearance. He has cropped black hair with two white eye spots on both sides, giving him a more "orca-esque" appearance, along with a tall black dorsal fin on his head. He wears a black business suit and a gray shirt. His pants and shoes are black. He also wears black gloves, something which runs in his family. [2] Underneath his clothing, he has been shown wearing heart-patterned boxers more than once.

When he was younger, he wore a black blazer with a gray sweater vest, a white shirt, and a red tie.

His orca form resembles that of any other orca, except his saddleback patch resembles that of bat wings, in relation to his distant demon bloodline. [3] He also has black fingernails. [4]

Although Idate's exact age is unknown, he and his brother Takama look mature for their actual age. [1] Idate is also said to take after his father. Idate is a complex character with a bisexual orientation and a violent nature. He enjoys inflicting pain on others, particularly Shirogane, but also shows kindness at times. His main desires are food, sleep, sex, and violence. Idate has an obsession with smoking cigarettes and experiences withdrawal symptoms when he runs out of them.

His cooking skills include roasting meat and his favorite dishes include raw meat as well as spicy foods. Additionally, he likes sweet things but loves meat even more. When intoxicated by alcohol or other substances such as nicotine from cigarettes which affects his dexterity negatively; it hinders tasks like playing darts where he scores perfectly sober yet fails miserably drunk/high due to impaired motor skills. Idate was born from his two unnamed parents alongside his older twin brother Takama. However, his bloodline is not fully orca: he has distant demon blood mixed in as well. [3] As for his place of birth, it has been said Idate's parents live in a city of orcas, [12] though it is currently unknown whether Idate also originates from there.

Deep-Sea Prisoner has said Idate's father's scary personality might have influenced Idate's personality, [15] but Idate has no "dark past." [2] A backstory for him may be drawn in the future. [21]

Idate originally wanted a house on Iceberg Isle but is not allowed due to being banned by the isle's owner for repeatedly beating up the residents. His house is in a different location. [22]

Nagi has unrequited feelings for Idate, her uncle. Nagi dislikes how Idate treats her like a child and is obsessed with Rocma. Takama is Idate's elder twin brother, and they have a strained relationship. Idate has a good relationship with Takama's family. Idate is friends with his neighbor, Rock, but they have a mutual animosity. Idate has unrequited feelings for Rocma, who is disgusted by him. Shirogane and Yukisada are seen as Idate's toys and are terrified of him. Squid is the only thing keeping Idate in check. In Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea, Idate has complicated relationships with characters like Samekichi, Old, and Tatsumiya. Idate also has acquaintances like Seguro, Nekoyama, and Fukami. Satanick is shown to get along well with Idate. Gris has unrequited feelings for Idate and wants to "eat" him. Abilities Skillset Combat - Idate is regularly shown combatting with others and seems to be skilled at this. Natural Abilities Nigh-Absolute Immortality - Like most non-human characters in the Deep-Sea Universe, Idate cannot die from natural causes such as aging or disease.
