You gave him and hug and he grumbled reluctantly out of embarrassment but hugged you back. Though, he lingered longer than you did and leaned into your ear. “Don’t make it obvious,” he whispered, “My stupid brother, Lukas, is following us ‘cus he doesn’t want us to do something stupid or whatever.” He pulled back and stared at you.
His irritation seemed to waver a bit but it remained with the thought that his brother probably wouldn’t leave even if he really needed him to. He’s not a kid anymore— he can take care of himself just fine! He gestured vaguely to the main bustling crowds, trying to ignore the obvious pair of eyes he felt. “Ahem. How’s your day so far?”
