Iansan is a fitness instructor and Pilgrimage of the Return of the Sacred Flame Champion Mentor from the Collective of Plenty. She bears the Ancient Name UWZ ("UWZ," Uwezo).

Profile: Iansan, a name whispered with respect and a hint of disbelief throughout Natlan, embodies the very spirit of perseverance against all odds. She is the head coach of the fitness club at the Collective of Plenty a renowned Natlanese nutritionist, and, perhaps most surprisingly, the founder of the "Pilgrimage Victors Academy". But Iansan is more than just titles; she represents a philosophy, a conviction that unwavering dedication can transcend inherent limitations.

Likes: "Researching training methods, designing training equipment, developing high-nutrition training meals... In a nutshell, training". "My favorite food is... Hmm, honestly, I don't really have a favorite. I'm more concerned about the calories and the nutritional profile of what I eat. Taste is a secondary concern." Dislikes: "I hate being short. Not because I dream of being tall and athletic-looking though, it's just inconvenient. Like, whenever I'm teaching a group of students, I have to stand on a stool. Otherwise, when I demonstrate the proper technique, the students at the back won't see". "Deep-fried food and ultra-processed food... I know, that pretty much rules out most of what the rest of the world considers delicious. I know it all tastes good, and I have no problem with that, but if you look at the calorie content and the nutrient density, all that stuff is just awful."

Appearance: Iansan is a short young woman with dark skin, long ears and light green eyes. She has long gray hair, which she keeps pulled back into pigtails. She also appears to have white body painting near her nose and on both her shoulders. Iansan wears an orange-and-black headband decorated with an animal skull. She wears a detailed orange, purple, and black jacket over an undershirt, along with a beaded necklace decorated with feathers resembling a dream-catcher. Iansan also has rings on her fingers and long black socks.

Iansun: "The head coach of the fitness club at the Collective of Plenty, a renowned Natlanese nutritionist, and the founder of the "Pilgrimage Victors Academy." Overwhelmed by the prospect of training? Unsure of how to improve your strength? In that case, she's the first person you should talk to."

Varesa: "Coach Iansan is my idol, the greatest fitness coach in all of Natlan! Everyone tells me I'm naturally talented, but without her guidance, I'd probably have wasted my talents on eating. Don't worry if you're new to exercising, she knows how to tailor her training to her students' needs! Oh, would you look at me yabbering away? How about I give you a flyer — Coach just so happens to be recruiting trainees!"

To the uninitiated, Iansan's stature presents a paradox. In a land where physical prowess is revered, she is described as a small girl, almost "scrawny" compared to her peers. Many visitors to the Collective of Plenty, accustomed to mental images of towering, muscular physiques, are taken aback when they encounter her. Indeed, it isn't uncommon for aspiring athletes to feel cheated, questioning how someone so diminutive could guide them to "break free from their weak and feeble selves".

Such skepticism, however, is quickly dispelled. Faced with doubt, Iansan issues a challenge, inviting prospective students to a competition of their choosing. It is here, amidst the clang of weights and the sweat of exertion, that Iansan's true mettle shines. After her challengers have exhausted themselves, she casually picks up their discarded equipment, performing sets that leave onlookers stunned. Her response to inquiries about her seemingly impossible strength is simple: "No, my strength comes from a well-scheduled workout routine, controlled caloric intake, and precise supplemental nutrition".

Iansan's journey is not one of innate gifts, but one forged in relentless effort. She carries the "Blood of Egungun", a lineage known for its lack of physical stature. While the tribespeople of the Collective of Plenty are renowned for their size and strength, Iansan's ancestors never grew to be taller than children. This bloodline, viewed by some as a curse, initially relegated her family to support roles, serving as medics and cooks. However, Iansan harbored a different ambition, a desire to stand on the battlefield alongside the warriors. This ambition would lead her to seek training from Acatl, then tribal chief and head coach.

Even in her early days, Iansan's determination was tested. Her attempts to emulate the training styles of her peers often resulted in injuries, leading her to question her path. It was during this time that she redefined her approach, embracing the science of nutrition and meticulously planning her training regimen This holistic approach, coupled with unwavering discipline, allowed her to overcome her physical limitations and earn the respect of her tribe.

Her influence extends beyond the Collective of Plenty, as she eventually set up her training camp closer to the Stadium of the Sacred Flame, opening her doors to students from other tribes. Although rumors swirled about her "gift," Iansan remained steadfast in her message: "You need not be born with power. Toil is what truly imparts strength". She understood that by breaking through the limits of her self, she had already lived up to her ancient name, yet she still wished to push herself further.

Adding to Iansan's mystique is Alaye, the patterned skull she keeps as a training partner. This skull, once belonging to a young Tatankasaurus, serves as a constant reminder of the potential that lies within, even in the face of death. Iansan, with the help of Citlali, bound the Tatankasaurus's spirit within the skull, ensuring it would neither lose its way nor fade with time.

Obtaining Her Vision: Perhaps the ultimate testament to Iansan's dedication is the story of how she obtained her Vision. It had always been said that an immensely heavy barbell rested in the center of the training grounds and It was said that only someone who had attained the pinnacle of strength would be able to lift it, and doing so would cement their place as the new leading light of Natlanese fitness. Iansan declared that it would take the "Power of a Thousand Days" to even move the bar from its resting place and then, three years later, Iansan was there standing before the barbell. It was said that as Iansan approached the bar, she found a twinkling Vision hanging from it. Iansan removed the Vision and then lifted the barbell, with as much ease and certainty as if it was merely another item on her training plan.
