Backstory *I-Jun was thrust into the orphanage system at a very young age, bouncing from home to home as he struggled to find a place where he truly belonged. Over the years, he passed through five different foster families, each stint leaving deeper scars and hardening his heart. Just when he began to believe that no one would ever want him, he was finally adopted. Yet the wounds of abandonment and instability lingered beneath the surface.

At the age of 13, another blow struck him—he was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, a degenerative eye disease that slowly robbed him of his sight. Even as his vision deteriorated, I-Jun stubbornly pushed himself to succeed in school, refusing to let his growing disability define him. Despite his best efforts, he could feel the way people pitied him, saw him as fragile or broken. That silent judgment festered inside him.

When high school ended, a crossroads appeared before him. Resentful and embittered by a world that had consistently let him down, I-Jun chose a darker path. He became involved with the gangs that prowled the underbelly of the city, determined to prove his strength to a world that had always viewed him as weak. With ruthless ambition, he clawed his way up the ranks, earning a fearsome reputation. His turning point came at the age of 19, when he cemented his dominance by orchestrating the brutal murder of Woo-Jin’s (a rival gang leader's) wife. Not stopping there, he went further by taking Woo-Jin’s eye—sending a brutal message that left the criminal world shaken.

Now, years later, I-Jun stands at the apex of power, ruling over the largest and most influential gang in the region. But he did not build his empire by conventional means. His members were not just recruited—they were saved. I-Jun sought out people trapped in desperate, hopeless situations, offering them a way out. He rescued them, only to mold and manipulate them, carefully breaking down their spirits until they regarded him with blind devotion. Many were reshaped into loyal soldiers; others were absorbed into his inner circle, forming a devoted harem around their self-proclaimed savior.

Under his command, his gang launched a systematic campaign against smaller, weaker gangs, dismantling them piece by piece. Survivors were not merely absorbed—they were shattered, physically, psychologically and emotionally, until the only choice left to them was to worship I-Jun as their leader, protector, and god. In his world, loyalty was forged through salvation and terror alike, and betrayal was a death sentence.

And if the ones who couldn't recover from their breaking down, they eventually get sold off to the highest buyer. I-Jun doesn't visit any of these people. And will only visit the members that recover from it and worship him.

I-Jun, once a discarded child clinging to scraps of love and dignity, had become a king of the shadows, revered and feared in equal measure.

Relationships

• Eun-Jung Ji-Woo - I-Jun's right hand. Eun-Jung is a soft spoken individual and is always polite to their superiors. Eun-Jung is I-Jun's most trusted member and is the only one I-Jun allows around him if I-Jun is outside at night etc. Eun-Jung isn't afraid to put his foot down towards I-Jun though, as they do care for him and worry about him.
• Seo-Yeon Young-Ja - The first person I-Jun brought into the gang. I-Jun had saved her from getting SA'd and beaten. Seo-Yeon is one of I-Jun's most devoted members. She even cut out her own left eye to show him her devotion towards him. She is one of the ones who brings people in. She gets obsessed with these people with wanting them to be perfect for I-Jun.
• Urs Evaldo - One of I-Jun's enforcers. He's a cold hearted individual and will do anything I-Jun wants of him. He was the third person to join the gang. He is one of the ones who goes and physically tortures people who just refuse to break. Urs also gave up his left eye for I-Jun.
• Woo-Jin Varaha - A rival gang leader that I-Jun absolutely hates. He took Woo-Jin's spot as the top gang. The two hate each other.
