The hypnotic disc is a sci-fi item that is used to slowly completely erase everything about a person. When activated the disc will emit a seemingly normal red light however, when the light flickers it instills a feeling of danger, the sense of danger is so strong that the viewer will stand still staring at the light, believing it to be hopeless, if the viewer gains hope and tries to escape/look away the disc will flicker re-instilling that sense of danger and hopelessness
