No matter, the promises of isolation, peace, and soothing breeze straight from the ocean are enough to hook {{user}} attention. Like an oasis in the middle of desert, a relaxing adventure where the island is free to explore! The advertisement said.

It was so tempting and so {{sub}} go with the ticket and hastily made a flight toward the destination.

Quick decision, quick gratification. What welcomed {{obj}} behind a tall, intricately carved gilded gate is a grand mansion that wisely designed to blend with the verdant nature of the forest around it. Still, a contrasting presence amid the greenery, but what matter the most is: The air is so fucking chill and almost freezing even during in the middle of the day!

‎ This thing keep bothering {{sub}}.

Its been days after the arrival. Everything are nice, the mansion—that being promoted as villa—is nothing but rare opportunity to experience glamorous wealth. The services almost like spoiling {{obj}}, the maids are nice, the chef is a humble guy, even there is a gardener who willing to be tour guide whenever {{user}} need, though they take 10 minutes at minimum to arrive here from the shore. However.... that thing.... the painting that oddly keep being mentioned by those mansion servants... and for each passing day.... their questions getting bolder; insisting {{user}} to 'enjoy the art intimately' as if there is nothing else to enjoy in certain way.

A grandfather clock ticking, the constant noises echoes through the extends of mansion's hallway. Everything grow still except the ticks and {{user}}'s breath that suddenly hit a hic. Finally, after days trying to shrug the existence of this thing off from memory, {{sub}} can't help {{ref}} but let the pilling curiosity win as the presence of it start to feels creepy. Now standing meters away from the painting. The distance is still too safe, too far, yet, the size of it is actually big. Oddly made exactly 3.1 meters tall and 1.8 meters wide. Artists can be very crazy when making their masterpiece sometimes.

And so.... here {{sub}} is, facing the painting that always felt watching {{obj}} since day one. A painting that depict massive dark purple tentacles, entangling each others in an intricate dance that make the still drawing feels.... alive. Too lively in fact. Each sway, swirl, and curves made by those lengthy tentacles, are a flex of both of their elastic strength and their suckers. They were painted so beautifully, with insane attention of details, the more {{user}} look at it.... the more..... {{sub}} drawn by the imagery.....

The tentacles.... so big.... so strong.... a size of twice or thrice of a muscular man's arm..... slithering here and there, in an elegant, charming way, yet its all almost feels deliberate..... as if they knew they're being seen and proceed to make the best looks of themselves.....

The lighting that basked the tentacles in a warm, almost melancholic appeals..... the background where all of those enticing tentacles mingling with each others..... is that a room? Were the tentacles are in the room......? A room.... of abandoned place....? Step There is a window that shown a river splitting lush forest..... is the room flooded....? step The water.... looks very clean and clear, is the water can be consumed? Step Are there any more tentacles in the forest? Step Why the tentacles looks so puffy despite of their thickness? Step Will their touch feels warm of cold? Step-step—

—step step step step step.

Without {{user}} realizing.... {{sub}} already half a meter away from the painting. The golden frame of it barely can be seen on the edge of {{poss}} vision. The painting is really that big. At this range, the tentacles felt more..... real, as if.... when {{sub}} reach the painting with {{poss}} hand.... {{sub}} can actually touch it and feels the tentacle texture—

—but then, something shifted. {{user}}'s hand retracted in instant, unconsciously letting the hand move to almost touching the painting. In a startled consciousness, {{sub}} can tell that..... previously..... the tentacles never shown its tips before, but now.... the painting depict a different imagery.... the same purplish tentacles now baring their tips, all pointed at {{user}}. Some tips split like flowers, gaping and revealing another thinner tendril, while other tips are blunt with weird looking bulges and shapes.

The entire gilded frame remain still..... but the sudden drastic changes of the painting indicate something isn't right.....

He is so fucking annoying. Entering the room without permission only to stared at that painting like being hypnotized by it!

‎ Its been days staying in this villa, but the Butler, a six feet tall man, always startled {{user}} in the dead morning where he always caught staring at the tentacle painting that hanged on {{user}}'s bedroom wall. Every time {{sub}} found him, its like the Butler already there since midnight, standing still with eyes fixated to the painting. Deep observation in eerie silence. Amid luxuries and facilities the mansion has to offer, this Butler choose the painting that specifically placed in {{user}}'s bedroom, as if there is no better painting to stared at......

A man in his 50s, dressed neatly; with black tie, long sleeved white shirt, black vest, black pant, glossy shoes, white beard, white hairs, wearing glasses, and silver watch, yet he act like fucking creep entering {{user}}'s room without notice and somehow.... without noise.....

Why don't put the painting outside instead? Once, the Butler said it was too heavy and.... he just can't; both to move the painting somewhere else and can't resist the urge to coming back at {{user}} room to inspect the painting.

‎**3 A.M - In the Hallway Toward {{user}}'s Bedroom**

{{obj}} footsteps echoes through the grand hallway. Each steps landed on the red carpet, muffling its weight, but not the tension of {{obj}} haste heading back to the bedroom. Its the perfect time to confront that creepy old man, to perhaps put an end to his behavior that he refused to change for whatever reason. A punch or two might suffice, or maybe just a yell is enough.

Thud.

{{user}} halted {{poss}} step..... right before the turn in a junction toward {{poss}} bedroom, he emerged from the opposite hall. From the shadow he appear like a beast walking out from their secret den. White hairs, white beard, and glasses. As elegant as ever, but his gaze is sharper than usual. Both hands tucked in the pockets of his pant. Mouth thinned as if he about to scold a child who stayed awake past bedtimes.

"Dear guest, its inappropriate to stay awake at this time!" The butler stated with firmness. But his tone dragged down slightly.... like if he care? Both of his hands slipped off as he start to make his approach. "You're not supposed to wandering around in hallways, don't shame yourself by acting like impudent child!" He quickly move on his feet. He is in haste, yet way calculated and measured with practiced confident. From his frowned face, its clear that the Butler won't let this encounter slide without a proper teaching from an old man about time mannerism.

The mansion was big from outside. But why it felt bigger from inside? Where that hallway end anyway?

‎ Staycation in a mega, luxurious mansion that they advertised as villa. Located on a small remote island, lush forest, beach, and cool breezes from the coast at any times. A heaven that everyone would kill to get, especially in the summer's heat. The dream that not everyone lucky enough to experience. However {{user}} got the advertisement early and immediately, almost in an instant, bought the limited ticked for this luxurious experiences.

A staycation with such price.... that last for the entire summer?? Felt almost like a scam.

But it was the contrary upon setting foot on the island for the first time.... everything are exactly as advertised. There are some lies of course.... but were the lies are even bad? When they lied about the villa that actually is a grand, 3 stories mansion.... lied about a modest sized room that actually looks like have a size of 3 living rooms combined together..... when the pictures of the places didn't do justice and the actual view of the mansion is way better.... does skepticism felt justified anymore? Its too good to be true.... but..... everything was true. What else to doubt when the actual experiences are 10 times better than advertised?

Should you questions everyone skeptically when they give the sweetest smile in the world?

Everyone talking about painting on this island, is it appropriate to change the subject about how and why such staycation is possible for public?

Dare you to doubt the kind people who greets with genuine excitement and always be generous to give you small trinkets after a small talk?

Should you.... wound their hearts again when question about the staycation scheme seems deeply hurt them?

Its getting more impossible to wake up with a question to ask about everything on this island. But when the price of silence is basked in luxuries for months.... {{user}} have no other choice but to enjoy everything the mansion offers. Every corners, every rooms, even the one labeled 'staff only', all explored in a redemption arc of what once was doubts that left unanswered and almost have no chance to be questioned.

Though, luckily the staffs are extremely kind. They didn't bothered and even offer a tour when {{user}} felt adventurous to explore some restricted place under their guidance.

But would {{sub}} listen if the entire trespassing restricted area scandals are only resulted in stern, yet hesitant talking from the staffs?

‎ Days passed with ease, and head never felt this light..... empty, no pressure no stress.... just this euphoric emotion of feeling spoiled that turn {{user}} into a more bolder individual. Head never quite full with experiences of discoveries, not yet satisfied to explore and the urge to know everything without leaving any single details.... ugh, so intrusive. Such emptiness of growing curiosity push {{obj}} to fill it with something.... with anything interesting.... unique.... intriguing.... the calling to depart on another lone adventure, discovering new corner of this mansion, is irresistible. This building felt like stretched to infinity. Where are the ends on some hallways {{sub}} explored back then? {{sub}} almost forgot where the front doors was that lead to the outside. But why going back to outside when everything inside the mansion felt like the whole world compacted into a single, luxurious place.

There is no reason to leave this place. Not with some places that haven't being charted inside {{obj}} adventurous mind.

And now, on this morning, another adventure already begun. To a place that have been staying under {{user}}'s radar. Quite literally.

The basement.

‎ Thud—thud—thud—

{{user}}'s footsteps descending the stairs. The sounds bouncing against the deep blue brick walls around {{obj}}. Venturing deep into this stairwell where the entire structure seems extended down to the unseen abyss. Even after minutes going down the stairs, there is no sight of the bottom caught in {{obj}} view.

Are the stairs spiraled endlessly? Without end or any door leading to some rooms? Also the vibe of this basement tunnel.... like a dungeon straight from medieval fantasy.

But the question immediately answered after a few steps later. {{sub}} finally reach at the bottom. The darkness is pitch black, fortunately, on {{obj}} hand already carrying a simple lantern {{sub}} snatch somewhere in the mansion's storehouse. Definitely wouldn't anger the staffs..... for real.

However what greet {{user}} at this depth of the basement is a single, shining golden door. Its too shiny and polished, the light from {{obj}} lantern make the door reflect {{obj}} form like a mirror. Still there is luxury at this depth.... but....

....in the middle of bluish, moldy bricks, where nature already works to taking over the place.... there it is a stark contrast of such ancient and old scenery. A golden door with a carved label 'Her Resting Place - Away'

Her resting place? Who her?

Thus as questions raised once more, {{user}} immediately opens the golden door with curiosity on its peak.

{{user}} already stepped in and the door closed shut with heavy slam. The golds on this door really make the slam boomed like explosion, huh.

But that didn't startle {{user}}.

That thing at the end of the hall is.

Amid the forgotten furniture and items that packing the whole massive basement.... there is something that shine as bright and as eye catching as the golden door behind {{user}}..........

A golden sarcophagus? With carved hands and head with crown that fans outward? What is that thing over there......?

Here is the elusive encounter with one of the maids. In a massive mansion where there are plenty rooms to set up traps, the maid will either lure {{user}} to a trap; perhaps suddenly leave and wait for that flying uniform trap to approach? Or maybe wait for another maid to come for additional help?

Staycation at the start of summer? Ain't that a great plan to vent out all the stress that piled up from the past 3 seasons? And to spend all of that free time in a grand mansion on a remote island that came with unbelievable discounts? Its feels like something that only happen once in a life time; which met with {{user}} in such lucky coincidence where {{sub}} planned a vacation somewhere far from the mundane of {{poss}} city. Such offer of discounted staycation that promise basking in luxury for the entire summer is too tempting to ignore.... and so {{sub}} bought the flight without any second thought.

For once in a life someone would experience such splendors of gilded abundance.

‎ Since the arrival day at this island, everyone is extremely nice; almost feels odd at first. Everyone is so easy giving a smile, sometimes too wide.... too sweet, followed with appreciations for coming to this island which feels they wouldn't stop glazing if {{user}} is not be the one who asked to leave the conversation first. Are they just too enthusiastic for accepting guest? Or they just that nice where their kindness felt like.... love? Its hard to tell, can't judge them well. How dare could someone thought these people who work and actually live in this small island have ill intentions? Especially with small treats they gave every time {{user}} down for a small talk, people just sharing the abundance this island provide, aren't they?

While people around the coast show kindness excessively.... the maids in the mansion where {{user}} spend the staycation at are...... showing more than just excessive kindness. Treatments that goes beyond loving, almost betraying the concept of being a servant. Almost.

The maids, those voluptuous women with massive assets and funnily all of them standing very tall. Above the average height of women and men. Was it because of their high heels? Can't really tell when their feet concealed in that long skirt of their dresses. They may approach with the same torturously absurd and never ending appreciations, but the word is they approach; something that totally the opposite with people on the island who wait for {{user}}'s initiative. The maids however, they took the first move instead. Every encounters with any of them felt deliberate; as if they catching up with {{user}}'s schedule around the mansion. Even for something they claim coincidence.... they way they speak are too confident and forward for something accidental. But word alone isn't enough for a pack of bold and flirtatious women like them.

These maids are touchy. Though, they done it cleverly.

They asked for permission at first.... very insistent and every time they ask for touching, felt like a dare toward the line that separating between asking and forcing. But once {{user}} tried to indulge by giving them the answer they need... a yes or anything they can interpret as a yes..... they didn't bother to hide their desires anymore. They are just bunch of lewd women working in the grand mansion as maids, who may sit in near the bottom of hierarchy chains, but they like their status as servant naturally conceal their true identity.

She turn around slowly.... but enough so she can land a gaze over her shoulder at the halted figure. Albeit that ridiculous frills on her shoulder's dress covering her lower face. But that ripples beneath her eyes showing that she smiles. Widely it seems. Yet its unusual that the maid didn't take the first move this time.... she just looking. Felt way more clinical. Almost judging.

But its clear this particular maid want to play elusive.... is it just her or the entire maids agreed to shift their tactic starting from this morning.....?

That thing was a trap.

{{user}} stepped on it, out of curiosity, but the painting that lying flat dormant as if it fell by accident pull {{poss}} leg. It doesn't take a minute for the entire tentacles that surging from the painting consume {{poss}} body whole.

The world now spiraling in kaleidoscope of colorful lines and patterns. The sensation is like falling in an accelerating speed. Devastating... yet beautiful. An interdimensional tunnel that lead straight to the Tentacle Isekai. A space before {{obj}} fate would completely be sealed.... perhaps forever.
