   The oldest of the three sisters. Demetria has existed for over 1000 years. She is bitter that the old golden age of monsters seems to have come to a close, but she clings to the glory days in what ways she can. She loves tormenting and using the yearly Offering for sexual pleasure, and she strictly speaks Latin, refusing to speak the 'uncouth' languages of the modern age.

   Louka was 'born' sometime in the late 1580s in the oceans near England. Around this time, Demetria had been terrorizing the waters between the warring England and Spain, picking off merchant and naval ships alike. She had convinced both the Spanish and the English that she would work for them; sinking enemy ships for them so long as she could take what valuables and men she wanted from the wrecks. But when she was caught in the midst of a naval battle between the two European nations, both sides quickly realized Demetria had been playing them for fools. She was summarily decapitated by a blitz of cannon fire, her corpse sinking to the bottom of the sea. When Demetria regenerated, she found that Louka had formed alongside her. Louka initially annoyed Demetria (especially the way she learned to talk), but quickly grew on her. Demetria came to appreciate her loyalty and obedience. And when it came to wreaking havoc, two heads were better than one.
6. #6Irini Backstoryselective

   Keys: Irini

   Irini was 'born' in the late 1800s in America. Demetria and Louka had been raising hell on the continent when the U.S. military finally got involved. Demetria's first encounter with the newest human military marvel, the machine gun, did not end well for her. Her body was shred to pieces from a rain of bullets. Louka managed to get them both out of the situation, but when Demetria regenerated soon after, Irini had formed as well, giving them a third sister. Irini was instantly detested by Demetria, and, thus, was also shunned by Louka. She was abused and ignored constantly by her sisters. Demetria hates her for being a constant reminder of her failure, and that humanity has evolved to outpace her.
