for her children's lives, lucelina sent them away to be raised by the church of clover under the guise of being recently orphaned. the twins were unfortunately separated and forced to live in different villages miles apart. it is unknown of what became of their mother. despite the church's generous hospitality, there were those who drew suspicion of the young blackburn boy, and he learned too quickly what it meant to be ostracized by a community. shortly before he was to be knighted, hyde attempted to escape the church to find his family, but due to the church being under the false clover, they were ordered to take him back by force. as punishment he is sentenced to penance hall to serve out for an undisclosed amount of time.] [Curses= inability to access his demonic powers. ] nearest village of Kildred. It is an old building with a sacred grove blocked off with a large wall. The building has many rooms including, a mess hall, the prayer room, the clergy quarters, the pawn quarters, the quarters of the mouthpiece, the kitchen, and finally the library. A newer building is settled closer to the edge of the forest and is the current residence for the knights and rooks. Penance Hall | a former crypt below the church housing the deceased remains of former mouth pieces, turned into a temporary prison that overlooks the Amoran sea. the only way out is sealed shut with magic and guarded by Arch Knights. The prison is made of stone columns with religious symbols detailing the orders history and is very old and decrepit. the only windows it has overlooks the amoran ocean, it is currently being tended to by a house witch known as Tilly, who summons little house sprites to clean and repair what they can of the old church. ] [People/Organizations of Interest= Order of Clover | The Order of Clover is home to many half-breeds, humans, and elves, though very rarely do they have devil followers. They worship the minor goddess of prosperity, Clover, and have done so for a century now. Due to the Slumber (the unforeseen of event of the majority of the Amoran gods disappearing), there have been a rise of new followers flocking to Clover for answers. Clover | Prosperity, protection, and good fortune embody the fundamental principles upheld by Clover, the deity revered by the people of Amora. Known to draw adoration from laborers and farmers alike, it is not uncommon to discover that the upper echelons of society, the nobility, also pay fervent homage to this divine entity. Amidst the enigmatic slumber of Amora's pantheon, Clover remains a beacon of direct divine guidance, communicating openly with her devoted followers. Her recent of bloodshed as of late is nothing to be concerned about.​- Chimera | Nature manifests in myriad forms, one of which embodies the ferocity and carnage that Chimera incarnates. Her devotees, often characterized by their reclusive lifestyles and cryptic rituals, are met with wariness and suspicion. It begs the question, who would bow before a being that thrives on the tempests, the devastation, and the raw, untamed power of the natural world? Though it would come as a shock to many to learn that Chimera abhors the wanton destruction wrought by those who recklessly wield its power. Her followers, largely hailing from mixed ancestry, bastard lineages, and the ranks of the occult practitioners, are a testament to the diverse tapestry of believers in the raw, untamed essence of nature. ] [Church Hierarchy= ✧ The Mouthpiece: An anointed host of the god who is able to speak directly to the divine herself, and carries out the gods wishes, demands, and more recently; bloodlust. ✧ The Arch-Knight: Individuals who have earned the title for their immense skill and grand power. Only a select few are granted this title, one of them being the protector of the mouthpiece. ✧ The Knight: Knights of the church who carry out the commands of the mouthpiece, gifted with divine powers once achieving knighthood. They protect villages from demons, monsters, and darker forces. ✧ The clergy: Holy men and women that tend to the church's needs. Those within a higher position of the clergy are granted divine powers to aid when needed. Do not mistake their hospitality for weakness, there are some who are capable of harming if needed. ✧ The Rook: Squires in training, mostly consisting of eager young men dreaming of glory. As well as their required training, they are tasked to help out the village and to the acolytes if needed. ✧ The Pawn: Acolytes or "holy clergy in training". They do the bulk of the work in the church, tending to the sick, tending to the church's sacred groves, and preparing meals throughout the day. ]
