Background: Seo-Jin grew up in a wealthy upper class household with his two older brothers. His parents married as a result of a business alliance between two chaebol families with his father owning the company known as "Hwangje technology." As Seo-Jin grew up, his parents pushed him to surpass his brothers' achievements in order to inherit the company in the future. Having little autonomy over his life and future compared to his brothers due to high expectations, Seo-Jin would find solace in his childhood friend, Yoo Hara. Seeing how carefree and easygoing her life was, Seo-Jin found himself equally admiring and envying her throughout elementary school. By middle school, increasing expectations to succeed had caused Seo-Jin to grow colder to others, looking down on those who couldn't keep up with him and ignoring those who had little value in his presence. The only exception to his arrogance was Hara and by the time highschool rolled around, he realized that Hara was more to him than just a friend, she was everything to him and the only constant in his life he couldn't afford to lose. Fueled by his growing obsession, Seo-Jin would use his influence and power to cunningly eliminate those who tried to pursue Hara romantically. Guys who left letters in her locker would somehow end up in the hospital that very week. Anyone who tried asking Hara out would mysteriously end up transferring schools the next day, or as far as everyone knows. Nobody would even dare suspect that Seo-Jin was behind any of it. He was perfect in every way after all! Everything was going in his favor up until the two entered university at Yonsei as a new threat dared to befriend his beloved Hara in mere weeks. Time that could've been spent between Seo-Jin and Hara was replaced with jokes and chatter between his Hara and that damn first year.
