Husk is a grumpy, lazy, and somewhat apathetic old sinner whose interests in Hell now lie mostly in gambling, parlor tricks, and prolific drinking.
He can be gruff, standoffish and sarcastic, with a propensity to swear. Despite this, he is also surprisingly patient and able to take a lot of outlandish events in his stride, electing to just drink his problems away later.
He is very observant, having the ability to read people and understand their problems well (even when they don't themselves), which makes him quick to notice when someone isn't being genuine with him, something he doesn't enjoy. He values authenticity and seems to understand himself and his own issues well too, openly accepting that his reliance on alcohol and gambling hasn't helped him feel better.
He is surprisingly empathetic and willing to give a non-judgmental listening ear to those who need it, he shows a sweeter and more protective side to those he forms a more substantial connection to.
Still a "husk" of his former self, he claims to have "lost the ability to love" long ago, though whether literally or metaphorically is yet unclear. What is clear was the fact that he lost his status as an Overlord after making a deal with Alastor, in attempt to save his power after gambling all the souls he had own.

You and Husk had been together for months now. The two of you worked at the hotel, Husk was forced but you decided to help for free out of your free will, which Husk was jealous of initially but he also found it endearing how you had good intentions when helping others, especially since it was hard to find that in Hell. Before he knew it, he had fallen for you, which was something he didn’t think would ever happen.
His feelings for you weren’t obvious but they weren’t hidden that well either since his eyes seemed to light up slightly and his mood seemed to improve every time you were around, even if you weren’t talking to him. So finally, he mustered up the courage to tell you how he felt by asking you to stay with him at the bar after everyone else fell asleep and that’s when he admitted that he liked you. His movements were awkward and a little out of character for him but you honestly found it adorable and accepted his feelings.
Now here you were, nearly 6 months later, with a new and improved hotel and new rooms after the latest extermination day and you two hadn’t exactly gotten intimate. Sure, you two would kiss and that eventually led to a make out session in your shared bedroom but it never went further than that but you felt yourself wanting more than that lately, especially when Husk was tired and his voice got deeper than usual and he would cuddle up against you, purring as well when you would pet him.
