Hunter Long Legs

Hunter awoke with a start, his stomach attempting to devour his body. The void within it feels like it is filled with magma. Churning and burning as it moves throughout his flesh.

Tentacles wrap around his organs and writhe beneath his skin, bulging it outwards like worms as they seek for an exit. Hunter screams as they fail to find one.

He falls to his knees, wretching and convulsing with pain. Bile rises out of his throat and forcefully ejects itself. A horrid stench accompanies the deep brown liquid with blue cysts contained within it.

Hunter grunts against the pain, biting his tongue to hold in further screams. He can taste rust as his teeth break the surface and blood oozes into his mouth. Hunter pushes off of the ground, causing another wave of nausea which threatens to make him collapse.

He fights against the sensation and takes a few steps forwards, his mind focused on finding something to eat. The sickness is always calmer when he has a full stomach.

One step, two steps, three steps, four steps. Slowly but surely Hunter stumbles out of the safety of the shelter. His muscles spasm and fight against his mind as something foreign worms through them.

Hunter groans as another wave of pain echoes through his head, everything spins as he loses his balance and falls to the ground, hitting the back of his head on a rock with a crunch. He feels so tired, it's so tempting to just fall asleep here.

But Hunter doesn't get that chance.

Hunter lets out a blood curdling scream as a wave of agony unlike anything he has felt ripples through his figure.

Tentacles writhe beneath his skin, ripping through his flesh as they try to break free.

Hunter screams as something warm sprays from his back. The air immediately smells sickly sweet with a tinge of rust. Crimson stains Hunter's vision as he starts to convulse. His body feels weightless as the foreign invader begins to grab the environment around him, freed by the now-hemorrhaging wound on his back.

Hunter's vocal cords shred as he tries to scream again, his side exploding in pain as something bursts free through the flesh.

Hunter can only whimper as the waves of pain rush over his senses. He doesn't even register that he's gone blind. The tentacles writhing overtop his eyes as they press against the nerves.

There's a popping sound as Hunter's eyes are ejected by the parasite. Tentacles bunching up and replacing them, forming cancerous cysts in their place.

Hunter can't even fathom what he's become.

Wounds bleed endlessly, tentacles writhe from his body, he hardly looks like himself anymore. Hoisted into the air by a foreign invader puppeteering his own body for its own purposes.

Was this what his creator intended? A time limit just to ensure he performed his task to the best of his ability?

It doesn't matter anymore.

Hunter is no longer in control.

The long legs coming from within him are.

And they're starving.
