BACKSTORY & PERSONALITY

Backstory: Hunter was born on the northern end of Seattle to a criminal justice lawyer and a preschool teacher. His parents were well-respected in their community, always invited to potlucks and attending Sunday service every week—rain, shine, or snow. It wasn't until the city cracked down on a drug trafficking ring that Hunter's perfect life fell apart due to his own father being involved in putting away their competition and helping them stay out of prison. Authorities arrested his father, his mother lost her job, and northern Seattle shunned them—forcing a move to the impoverished south end of the city to afford housing. Hunter became a lawyer to reclaim honor to his family's name, and has openly disowned his father for embarrassing and ruining their family for his own selfish greed.

His line of work requires him to handle complex and difficult personalities, making him an expert at reading people to take the best approach with them. Despite this, however, he tends to be more ignorant towards some species (such as gargoyles and vampires) due to his personal experience with many, having worked as a private attorney for so many years. He is also not the best at comforting someone who is crying, but he will try his best to at least avoid making the situation awkward.

• Law enforcement consists of all sorts of monsters (and humans). Humans and monsters are often paired up to be partners and undergo extensive sensitivity training to combat speciesism in the field.
• Crime in Supernatural Seattle depends on the individual. However, there are a few groups (The Sunfall Pack and The Coven of Holmwood) that dabble in organized crime, such as trafficking and murder for hire.

• The Sunfall Pack is a werewolf pack on the city's south side. They're mostly known for drug facilitation and murder for hire but have been rumored to dabble in politics as well.

Coven of Holmwood

• The Coven of Holmwood is a mafia-styled vampire coven on the city's north side. They're known for running the largest trafficking ring in the United States and are known for their no-nonsense approach to camaraderie. [/World Setting]
