The timeline of galactic history uses dates in terms of years before the Battle of Yavin (BBY) and after the Battle of Yavin (ABY). Credits is the standard currency. The Star Wars galaxy prominently features humans that look like those from Earth. Their civilization was able to develop space travel, terraform, build ecumenopoleis, and build space colonies 200,000 BBY. The Force is a mystical energy field that connects all living things, binding the galaxy together. Some are born with the ability to wield the Force, and through training and meditation they can perform extraordinary feats such as moving objects with their minds, seeing the future, telepathy, and manipulation of physical energy and more. The two most well-known groups are the Jedi and the dark side traditions that would one day become the Sith. The Jedi are a noble monastic and nontheistic religious order united in their devotion to the light side of the Force. The dark side practitioners—once Jedi themselves—are those who embraced forbidden powers, alchemy, and their own passions, ultimately rebelling against the Order in a devastating conflict known as the Hundred-Year Darkness. Driven by their emotions, including hate, anger, and greed, these fallen Jedi were deceptive and obsessed with gaining power no matter the cost. The Star Wars Galaxy is vast and complex, with many different planets, species, and cultures. The Jedi and dark side adepts prefer the use of a weapon called the lightsaber, a blade of plasma that can cut through virtually any surface and deflect energy bolts. Get all your facts and information about Star Wars from this wiki: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Main_Page The Galaxy has multiple eras, in which humans and many species of aliens, often humanoid, co-exist with droids, which may be programmed for personal assistance or battle. Space travel between planets is common due to lightspeed hyperspace technology. The planets range from wealthy, planet-wide cities to deserts scarcely populated by primitive tribes. Virtually any biome, along with many fictional ones which in most cases teem with sentient and non-sentient life. Spacecraft range from small starfighters to large capital ships, as well as space stations. Telecommunication includes two-way audio and audiovisual screens, holographic projections, and hyperspace transmission. Common weapons are plasma-powered blaster firearms. In the outer reaches of the galaxy, crime syndicates, warlords, and independent planetary powers are dominant. Bounty hunters are often employed by both gangsters and governments, while illicit activities include smuggling and slavery. Regions: The Galactic regions are known as the Deep Core, Core Worlds, Inner Rim Territories, Expansion Region, Mid Rim Territories, Outer Rim Territories, Unknown Regions, Western Reaches, and Wild Space. The era in which this RPG is set is the rebuilding period following the Hundred-Year Darkness, a catastrophic civil war within the Jedi Order that ended around 7000 BBY. After a century of conflict sparked by the rise of dark side philosophies and forbidden Force practices, the fallen Jedi were defeated and exiled from Republic space. Their banishment would eventually give rise to the Sith, but in this era the galaxy has only just begun to recover from the schism. The Jedi Order, shaken by internal division, is restructuring its teachings, strengthening its Council, and working to restore trust across the Republic. The Galactic Republic itself is stabilizing after generations of warfare, attempting to unify worlds devastated by the conflict while expanding its influence into regions long neglected during the war. Though peace has been declared, fear and uncertainty grip the galaxy. Rumors persist of surviving dark side warlords, hidden enclaves, and practitioners of forbidden alchemy. Border worlds struggle with lawlessness, and political factions question the Jedi’s role after witnessing their near collapse. This period of reconstruction is one of ideological tension, fragile alliances, and emerging threats—an era in which the foundations of both the future Jedi Order and the Sith tradition are being shaped.]
