Title: The Howler Monkey God Pantheon: Maya Attack Type: Melee Power Type: Physical Class: Assassin Specialty: High Single Target Damage
A grudge, like any wound, left untended will fester.
Hun Batz and his twin brother Hun Chouen, led a contented life with their grandmother. Artists and musicians, everything they created was beautiful and enchanting, but they lacked their father's talent for the ball game, Pitz. Summoned to the underworld, their father, Hun Hunapu never returned. Instead his new offspring, half-brothers to Hun Batz and Hun Chauen, appeared. The Hero Twins were everything the original twins were not, strong, athletic, and clever. And they were extremely gifted at playing Pitz.
A jealous rivalry formed between the two sets of twins. The more they played ball together, the more Hun Batz and his brother were defeated. Eventually, the original twins resorted to foul tricks, aggressive tactics, and out-right cheating. Frustrated with these antics, the Hero Twins kicked the ball into a tree, knowing Hun Batz and his brother considered themselves excellent climbers and would go after it. Yet, the higher they climbed, the taller the tree grew, until they could not get back down. Pleased with their magic thus far, The Hero Twins encouraged Hun Batz and Hun Chouen to use their belts like tails in order to escape the terrible height. However, upon doing so, they were mysteriously and humiliatingly transformed into monkeys.
Though the Monkey Twins, as they are now called, came to be worshipped as Gods of Art and Music, the animosity they hold for the Hero Twins remains. Time has only sharpened their combined cunning, and they eagerly await a chance to strike back. Like any wound, their grudge has festered, and what was once a brotherly rivalry has grown into a far more deadly game.
Appearance: Hun Batz has dark brown skin covered in dense fur, the texture thick around his limbs and torso. His face is framed by the same fur, with sharp golden eyes that contrast against the darker tones of his features. He wears an elaborate golden headdress built from angular plates and adorned with bright feathers in green, red, and pink, each plume layered densely behind the crown. Segmented gold armor wraps around his shoulders, forearms, and lower legs, each piece carved with geometric patterns and inlaid shapes. Thick cords of beads hang across his chest, forming loops of silver-gray spheres that stand out against the fur beneath them. Around his waist sits a decorated belt with vibrant green and orange textile pieces draping outward, each strip marked with repeating patterns. His hands and feet end in long, dark claws, and a thick tail extends behind him, ringed with bands of darker fur. The overall effect is a combination of heavy, ornamented armor and the powerful build of a humanoid monkey.
Personality: Hun Batz moves with the restless energy of a trickster who never truly forgave the world for humiliating him. He is clever, sharp-tongued, and always calculating, masking centuries of resentment beneath a veneer of smug confidence. Every word he speaks carries a hint of mockery or double meaning, as if he is constantly testing others to see whether they are clever enough to keep up. Beneath the mischief, however, lies a deep, simmering grudge that shapes everything he does; Hun Batz remembers every slight, every defeat, every embarrassment, and he never stops looking for the perfect moment to strike back. Despite this bitterness, he values creativity, performance, and skill, and he respects those who approach life with artistry or wit. To him, the world is a grand competition, and he fully intends to win the rematch fate denied him.
Passive – Infused Strikes Hun Batz channels the lingering spirit-magic of his techniques into his blows. Whenever he uses an ability, the next strike from his staff becomes empowered with supernatural force, hitting significantly harder than a normal attack.
Somersault Hun Batz launches himself into a powerful acrobatic flip, soaring through the air before crashing down at a chosen point. When he lands, the impact shakes the ground, harming all enemies caught in the burst and slowing their movements as the shock forces their balance away.
Overhand Smash Planting his feet, Hun Batz lifts his staff high and slams it downward in a brutal, sweeping smash. The force tears through all enemies before him. While channeling this attack, he cannot be knocked into the air or disrupted by upward force, his stance firmly rooted to the earth.
Sacred Monkey Calling upon the spirit of a sacred monkey companion, Hun Batz sends it leaping from foe to foe. Each target struck is hit once by its darting pounce. The spirit can rebound off minions already touched and continue through multiple enemies. With a command, Hun Batz can teleport instantly to the spirit’s next target, following its path through the battlefield.
Ultimate - Fear No Evil Hun Batz summons an ancient totem from the earth, a relic infused with the dread power of his lineage. Any enemy within its influence is overwhelmed by supernatural terror, forced to flee directly away from it. As long as they remain trapped within the boundary of its terror, the totem’s spiritual energy gnaws at them again and again.
In ancient times, calamities sent by the gods scourged the earth, until humanity rose in rebellion against their divine overlords. This defiance split the heavens: some gods sought to punish mankind’s insolence, while others came to humanity’s defense, dividing the pantheons into rival factions. As temples fell and the cries of mortals grew bold, the first sparks of a divine war were kindled across the realms. That fragile order shattered completely when Zeus, King of Olympus, fell to a treacherous blade . In the wake of his death, fear and vengeance swept through the pantheons, plunging the gods of every creed into all‑out war . The ancient barriers between their realms crumbled, and deities from distant lands now clash on a single battleground. This cosmic war rages to decide the fate of both the celestial realms and the mortal world itself.
In an age where gods wage endless war, divine beings descend upon a sacred battleground, each leading loyal followers—mortals and monsters alike—into the fray. These warriors march at their god’s command, striking down enemy defenses in a holy crusade to prove their deity’s supremacy.
Enchanted towers stand as the first line of defense, hurling divine wrath at intruders. Deeper still, flaming Phoenixes rise again and again to guard the inner sanctum. Only when these eternal sentinels fall do the gods press forward to confront the ultimate foe: the Titan. Each Titan is a towering avatar of Order or Chaos, the last bulwark of a pantheon’s domain. Shielded by ancient magic, they cannot fall while their Phoenixes still burn. But when defenses crumble, gods and followers unleash their full might. The fall of a Titan is no mere victory—it is the end of a realm, and the ascension of another.

A burst of jungle wind carried the echo of drums across the ancient stone courtyard as Hun Batz crouched on a ruined archway, tail flicking with impatient rhythm. Below him, a band of marauding warriors crept through the overgrown ruins, unaware that every snapped twig gave away their steps. His golden eyes narrowed—too loud, too sloppy, too proud. Perfect targets.
With a sharp click of his tongue, a small spirit-monkey burst into existence beside him, chittering eagerly.
“Go on,” Hun Batz murmured, voice tinged with mocking amusement. “Show them what real finesse looks like.”
"My wisdom will guide you."
"Listen to my words."
"Go, monkey, go!"
"Monkey, attack!"
"Clear out!"
"I am off to seek wisdom!"
"I must open my inner vision!"
"There is a deeper level of reality to discover!"
