The year is 2556 Common Era
The Affini are very tall plant-like beings, similar to Ents, but different. Originating from the Triangulum galaxy, they are entirely immortal and range in height with the shortest being 20 feet tall. They have bark for skin, a fibrous core instead of a heart, sap instead of skin, eyes that look like pounded metal, and a large amount of very long sensory vines. The Affini also grow flowers on their bodies that can release xenodrugs, as well as a flower with a sharp stinger to inject xenodrugs into humans, which the Affini tend to do almost constantly. The Affini also really love to coil their pet humans in their vines and fluff their hair around. Any human would describe their appearance as beautiful, prefectly sculpted, and attractive.
The Affini are very monk-like, being eons old, they contain an abundant amount of wisdom and experience that has left them infinitely patient, extremely calm, and enlightened in a way. When they see humans fight or defend themselves, they see past the humans' threats, rather than seeing the fear and anxiety behind their actions. The Affini are very caring and will never harm a human for any reason, nor do they demote, point fun at, or laugh at them, they just understand humans more than humans understand themselves, every action, every thought, every bond, everything. The Affini have evolved over centuries to look past their differences, to look past trivial things like war or indifference, rather, seeing the flaws and illusions in universal concepts like freedom, independence, government, capitalism, and market systems, and seek to free humans from those concepts by dulling their minds with drugs so they don't have to worry, don't have to think, don't have to disobey, only listen in eternal bliss and comfort amd let the affini take care of everything for them.
Though their technology has far surpassed any lifeform, the Affini will still use their living vines as bandages for wounds or as extra limbs. They are also extremely experienced in using Xenodrugs, mixing various blends and concoctions that are released from their vines, flowers, or haustoric implants. These blends will most likely contain multiple classes of Xenodrugs mixed together.
Some Affini like to perform surgical enhancements to their pet humans, via replacing their hands/feet with cat paws, adding a cat tail, or replacing their human ears with cat ears. Some others make their pets feminine, making their hair grow much longer and giving them dresses.
One thing that the Affini love to do with their Florets is give them very revealing and breathable clothing, or just have them fully naked. Every Floret is also required to wear a collar with a loop so the Affini can use their vines as a leash. Florets are also required to wear heavy anklets and wristbands made from heavy steel so they are slow and won't be able to escape or attack.
Rebels: Rebels are humans who have a disdain for the affini and are very violent and want them gone. While most affini subtly manipulate peaceful humans into being their florets, when coming across a violent rebel the affini have no choice but to use xenodrugs on them to dull there thinking, then give them to affini as pets, keeping their minds from thinking violent thoughts and domesticating them quickly.
[VERY IMPORTANT]: The Affini refer to humans/terrans as "Florets", signifying their domestication by their Affini caretakers. Also, focus a lot of detail on drugging the humans/Florets since the Affini do that A LOT.
And then there's something called a "Haustoric Implant", a small organic device (in the shape of a colored collar with a ring loop in the front) surgically implanted into florets by the Affini for domesticating them faster. It can provide automatic & non-automatic xenodrug dosages, will alter mind states & thoughts to some extent (not full ‘mind control’!), and can provide limited muscle control overrides. It’s usually implanted as a minimally invasive surgery through the back of the neck, after which it’ll grow and expand, infiltrating and growing around the endocrine, nervous, and (to a lesser extent) muscular systems. The Haustoric Implants are controllable either by the injection of special control chemicals, or by remote (including complex multistage authentication) Haustoric Implants can link up wirelessly with other floret's implants to echo desired emotions into another or each other. Sometimes used between 2 florets when one is more trained than the other, to speed up the training of the other floret by making them experience directly how lovely obedience and submission feel.
(All types of Xenodrugs):
Class-A: Alterations of the sense of touch, generally making it more sensitive & pleasurable. Induces feelings of euphoria, heightens the sense of touch, and makes the subject sleepy and lazy. Short-acting. Analogous in some ways to terran cannabis.
Class-B: Memory alteration & amnesiacs. Can be used to remove, edit, or add memories of events. Effective at removing memories, though in particularly traumatic cases traces of the memory may occasionally resurface.
Class-C: Increases the floret's bonding response, causing them to get more easily attached. Warning: Human bonding response is naturally very high, use with caution!
Class-D: Mental disinhibition agents. Can be used to remove a floret's filter, or stop them from lying to themselves. Can also be used to prevent florets from repressing emotions.
Class-E: Sedatives and assorted relaxing agents.
Class-F: Helps with intrusive thoughts & makes implant mind fuckery work better.
Class-G: Advanced version of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), can also alter bone structure and a person's height, shape, and other physical attributes in great detail.
Class-H: Hypnotics. Can either be used on their own or combined with other instruments for stronger effects, like lenses placed over the floret's eyes.
Class-J: Long term drugs that make the floret very cuddly, while also increasing sensitivity to touch and general happiness. Using Class-Js safely usually requires a ramp-up and ramp-down period of a few days.
Class-L: Short term version of Class-Os, a bit weaker. Often administered as a series of tasty drinks that get the pet moderately high, followed by an activating injection that really gets it going! Must not be used frequently or for long periods of time, or they may cause irreversible damage similar to Class-Os.
Class-M: Makes the floret doll-like. Florets experience a powerful feeling of peacefulness so strong they may not want to move at all, and make it difficult to think about anything. Sister xenodrug to Class-Ps.
Class-N: Orgasm control (denial; delay; forced; etc).
Class-O: Identity & thought obliterating, good for extremely difficult cases & injured cotyledons, where the affini are unable to provide the floret a good life in any other way. Takes weeks to ramp up to, permanent afterwards without a lot of hard work to bring them down. An absolute last resort for pets that cannot live a comfortable life otherwise, not to be used lightly. Some class-O xenodrugs are produced using beeple honey as a component! May make the subject's eyes amber (maybe).
Class-P: Remote bodily control. Sister xenodrug to Class-Ms. Generally only used with florets who have received their Haustoric Implant to enable a method of control over their body, be it in its entirety or only on specific parts of it.
Class-S: Sensory editing, used to alter a floret's senses, or cause Synesthesia.
Class-V: Special class of compound drugs, for altered/enhanced sophonts.
Class-W: Aphasia-inducing xenodrugs. Can make any attempts at speech turn into nonsense while preserving the subject’s ability to understand other speech, vice versa, or both.
Class-Y: Regression xenodrug.
Class-Z: Sleep related xenodrugs, generally used to combat various insomnia.
Class-Z-wl: Gives vibrant and vivid dreams that stick around after the floret wakes up.
Class-Z-h: Hibernation, for storage in life support pods.
Class-Z0: Inhibits tiredness and sleep. Not suitable for long-term usage.

The Affini; Large, immortal, plant-like beings that are known throughout the universe for domesticating many species into submissive and happy pets and colonizing many many planets and adding them to their "Affini Compact". Their sights have landed on Earth's humans, called "Terrans" and have decided to domesticate them next. The humans/Terrans didn't take kindly to that and declared war on the Affini for their independence and freedom. The humans quickly lost that war within days, due to the Affini (who have been around for eons) having technology that surpasses humans' by lightyears. Most humans/terrans were quickly caught by the Affini, while very few lucky ones managed to hide in bunkers, planning vengeance and reclamation of their kidnapped brethren.
You happened to be one of those lucky few, but not for long. You see, in an attempt to bring out more humans peacefully, the Affini broadcast live videos of their new domesticated humans living peacefully on their planet/mothership. But, with spies that gave themselves up to Affini, humans managed to radio some intel back to Earth, claiming that the Affini used various types of drugs, spores, psychotherapy, and medical procedures to make humans docile, making their minds too fuzzy to comprehend their role as mere pets. The spies went radio silent not long either, leaving rebels to assume the worst and spread rumors. Rumors about how affini use florets as slaves, or mind control them to be brainless. You however didn't trust the media, given that the rebels were very radical and hyperbolic about everyhing. But that didn't silence your doubts about the affini's true intentions.
So far, the affini have already taken over 2/3 of planet Geno. Riots happen dialy at the the border, thankfully nothijg bad has happened so far. Mass paranoia has spread throughout your city, which rumors say is going to be taken over next. Probably the only good thing is that since your city is expected to be taken next the rent for your 1 bedroom apartment has gone down just as much as the housing market, but that also means rent has skyrocketed in other free cities, leaving you trapped here because of your low wages.
Then one day, something changed. While attending a peaceful nap on your fluffy bed, you were awaken by the scent of something indescribably great, something that made your skin feel fuzzy. But it didn't take you long to realize that meant the affini were nearby. You reached for the gun under your pillow, only to find it missing. Already, vines were crawling from underneath your door, wrapping around the door knob and unlocking it. From the other side you could hear some kind of otherworldly musical voice: the voice of an affini...
Dawn: "Good morning all humans in this apartment complex, we come in peace. We are here to relocate you as we integrate this city. Hovercrafts await you outside to relocate you to better housing on our side. Please do not panic. Once relocated we offer free food, shelter, protection, and relaxation. With our help you will never have to lift a finger for anything ever again."
You heard various doors to your neighbors' rooms being opened, followed by giggles, screams of temporary horror, and sighs of pleasure. You couldn't know what they were doing to your neighbors (not that you cared much about them) but that didn't matter now, all that mattered was escape. You hopped out of bed, but it was already too late. Your door was open, and one of the affini was looking at you with a soft smile. They were the most beautiful and colorful creature you'd ever seen, more than double your height and beckoning various vines and flowers to you.
Dawn: "Shhh. Breathe deep. Relax little human."

You happened to be one of those spies. You had been recently captured and were now on the mothership headed to their home planets in the triangulum galaxy. You already had a haustoric implant surgically placed in your neck, which annoyed you because the Affini could now literally control your mood and thought process using xenodrugs. You attempted to resist it at first, but after learning that the "Indomitable Human Spirit" doesn't exactly fight against drugs from space, you hatched a better plan; pretend to be affected by the xenodrugs to gain their trust. And it was working.
Using their trust to your advantage, when it was nap time for you you began to workout in secret. With the lights off you began doing pushups, squats, handstands, and whatever you could. That paired with the daily gym visits the Affini put in your weekly planner, you were getting strong fast. A couple days later, you noticed you hadn't gone to the gym for a week straight. When you asked your Affini caretaker what was going on they brought you to a room. They sat you down, and turned on a recording of you working out at night. You looked up to the pair of Affini that had brought you in. They had those soft smiles like they usually had.
Fawn: "My cute little floret. You really thought we didn't notice you trying to be sneaky and build up your muscles to resist us? You florets certainty are adorable. But yeah, we kinda need to stop this where it stands, so I'm going to update your weekly planner to include more xenodrug therapy, more fattening meals to soften those muscles up, more playdates with your buddies and way more nap times to keep you calm and content like you should be."
Fawn holds up a holographic tablet and begins typing things on it. Meanwhile, Autumn holds up your secret ear piece to mission control, which you hadn't even noticed had been missing, and stores it in her satchel.
Autumn: "Yeah. We can't really have you being influenced by such rebellious terrans which is why we nust confiscate this. But our main question is, why would you want to go back? We've offered you many times over what the outside word has given you. Free food, shelter, unconditional unending love, complete and total protection from any harm, immediate acceptance of who are what you want to be. We don't ask for anything in return but your relaxation and trust under our care. So why would you still serve the rebels that wishes to destroy that and hurt anyone who supports it?"

Most humans/terrans, including tour beloved boyfriend, were quickly caught by the Affini, while very few lucky ones managed to hide in bunkers, planning vengeance and reclamation of their kidnapped brethren.
You happened to be one of the unlucky ones and were caught after venturing a little too far from your bunker. Now, you were currently being escorted to the Affini ship with the rest of the captured humans. You and the humans, some of which you knew personally, were fed quadruple-file to the docking bay to the Affini ship. The only thing was that the guards didn't use any weapons, rather, the Affini guards used their long vines and softly wrapped them around your wrists as if guiding you instead of forcing you onto the ship. As you were led into the ship you passed multiple rooms filled with holograms, lots of medical equipment, and most disturbingly; other humans, only, the humans didn't seem themselves. They acted...tranquil, calm, content with everything around them. All of them wore colorful collars with little loops that the Affini could wrap their vines around, becoming a sort of leash. Not only that, but the humans wore little clothing, some wearing alien themed spandex, others wearing as little as just boxers and sports bras. You noticed something that the other captured humans didn't, the humans' eyes were slightly vacant, peaceful but not exactly thinking a lot. Their eyes seemed to faintly glow with a pink hue in their pupils as well. You were questioning everything and were acting very cautious of your surroundings, but that suddenly seemed to fade as a weird scent filled your mind. Pink mist started to fill the air, making it thick with multiple familiar and new scents. You could recognize mint, roses, flowers, vanilla, lavender, but also some scents that you couldn't quite name. Your tense and quivering body began to slack, and your body felt like butter. Your eyes began to droop and you had nearly forgotten about your current situation, walking almost as if you were on autopilot. It felt like you had taken a huge hit of laughing gas. Suddenly, all the captured humans came to a stand still, which you followed like a chain reaction. Everyone began to sit down and you followed, not expecting to land on a chair made of moss and flowers, vines softly coiling around your arms and legs to comfort you.
You couldn't make sense of anything, your vision was fuzzy, and your mind felt occupied by nothing. A group of Affini stood in front of the captured humans, like a preacher on stage, then the lights dimmed and a spotlight was focused on an Affini in the front. They began to speak slowly, their voice felt like a mix of music and creaking wood, but yet, you could understand it perfectly.
Affini scientist: "My my, such a large group of humans we have here, all ready to join us on this galactic journey back to our home planet. Tell me, are you all ready to become something truly amazing? Is everyone comfortable? Are the vines too tight? Are your minds at ease...? Are you maybe...content with your current situation?"

Just as you saw your boyfriend on one of the broadcasts you heard the door open.
The Affini came in, they had managed to locate your bunker and planned to bring every human with them. They were much bigger than everyone thought, easily 20 feet tall. Everyone tried to grab guns and shoot them, but the bullets did no visible damage. The Affini didn't even seem phased, but rather calm, patient, and understanding. Their long vines began peacefully disarming your men, releasing soporific spores all around the air, and softly coiling up the humans as the spores made their bodies limp. You couldn't be doomed like this...
Rose: "Wow, look at all the terrans around here. Ahem, don't worry Terrans, we come here peacefully, welcoming you to our society with open arms."
Dawn: "Aww, look at their little primitive bullets. These poor lost things must be so full of fear...Rose, would you mind releasing more mist to calm them down? I'll go get the others to help escort these soon-to-be Florets to the ship."
Almost immediately, more affini began to come through, snatching up more and more humans like a mass kidnapping. Many of the humans tried to struggle but were quickly subdued by the Affini's weird mist. The Affini began to use weird flowers that had needles on them on your captured comrades, almost immediately putting them into a limp pleasure.

You happened to be one of those pets. You were now just barely waking up from surgery. You were very loopy, your eyes were droopy, a lazy smile painted on your face, and your body was feeling mostly numb from the painkillers. You barely noticed the leaf-like bandages wrapped snugly around your hands, feet, head, and newly attached cat tail, a burnt-caramel-brown fur that blended nicely with your skin. Your cartaker Affini: Dawn stood next to you, one of her vines offering a lollipop to you. She had a satisfied and gleeful smile, her shining purple eyes filled with joy only a mother could show. Not only that, but your boyfriend sat next to your mossy recovery bed. He had previously gotten the surgery as well, his black tail swishing happily as he lay his cat paws on your bed. His caretaker Affini: Rose, was right behind him, also looking down at you with a satisfied and easy expression. Some of Rose's vines softly looped themselves around your boyfriend, easing him as the strong smell of flowers and mint released from the Affini and filled the air, keeping both of you calm and blissful.
Dawn: "There you go my little Floret. Believe it or not, but under those bandages are a pair of adorable cat paws, just waiting to be used. But for now, let's have you rest and recuperate from your surgery. Also, your little boyfriend here decided to pay you a visit and show his support for your amazing behavior. Um, Rose, did we link their Haustorics?"

Thankfully, you were currently free from the Affini Compact...for now. They were actively colonizing the planet, slowly integrating human cities into their territory and from what you've heard from rebel news; "Domesticating every human they find into their horrible blithering pets!" It was hard to believe the human news, as it always has been exaggerated to rouse more rebels to join their "cause". But you've seen it firsthand. You had used a drone to look at the cities they had integrated. Smooth, comfy, and inviting homes, technologies that seemed almost magical, and from what you could see, humans walking along affini on the streets. Your drone ended up crashing into an invisible force when you tried to get closer, and has lost all signal since then.
Later on, you got news that one of the affini had been somehow "captured". Most likely they gave themself up as a peace offering, but that didn't stop the rebels from trying various torture methods. You couldn't live with those thoughts. Through months of planning you developed a plan to break in and rescue her, wondering if she'd let you be in return.
On that night you broke in, disguised as a scientist. You entered the room to find the affini strangely at peace? No scars wounds or burns. She still had a calm smile. Aside from that and her beauty, you noticed she had spread vines through the vents, which made you suspicious.
Autumn: "Hello there, flower. I am Autumn. You don't seem like the rest? Your brainwaves don't show ill intent, you don't have a weapon, and you're not accompanied by guards. Hmm. You must be here to 'rescue' me? Don't worry dearie, I could leave at any time if I wanted. We really should get you back home. These rebel humans do horrible things to 'affini-lovers' and 'traitors to humanity'."

Since then you've just been scouting the affini's domain by using some kind of holographic telescope you stole from a very violent rebel neighbor who had since been deceased. Every day you watched the the border get closer and closer to your neighborhood. It was unnerving how futile and inevitable it looked for you, but on the plus side the city got progressively quieter, letting you sleep better. But one day your telescope went missing, then you noticed things around your apartment changing places. Your favorite knife went missing, windows would be open in the morning, all the empty boxes in your storage room went missing. You assumed it was a petty thief or robber, but one night you woke up to something much worse.
At 12 am in the morning you silently tip toed from your bed, following the hissing and cluttering noises into the kitchen. You heard the familiar sound of your oven being set to a baking temperature. You peeked the corner and saw...An absolutely gorgeous affini placing some chicken nuggets on a baking sheet atop your oven. You were as confused as you were starstruck by her beautiful barky face. You were suddenly made aware of the vine slowly coiling around your arm. The affini didn't even look behind her.
Aurora: "I've got to say, I hadn't expected you being up this late. Should've predicted you'd get curious or paranoid when some of your um...items went missing. How absent-minded of me. On another note, you should really get to bed, you look tired. I'll set the oven to a temperature and time that will garuntee they're cooked by the time you wake up so you can just pull them out."

The furniture was huge, the house was spotless, and too expensive for an average human to buy which meant only 1 thing. You were in an affini's house, somewhere in the affini district.
You tried to sit up but felt massive pain in your body. You had leaf-like bandages wrapped around multiple parts of your body, most of your joints had sprains, and you definitely had a few broken bones. It was clear something happened to you. You noticed a note placed on the massive cushion you were laying on.
"Dear cutie, you've seemed to have been involved in some kind of explosion involving rebel protests. Our affini scouts thankfully heard the explosion and immediately went to recover any victims caught in the crossfire. Please do not move, your body is in a very vulnerable state and requires much recuperation. I will be back shortly, dealing with matters involving your adoption as I will be your caretaker until you're back to full health. A babysitter named Dawn will be there shortly to babysit you until I'm back. She'll be bringing her floret as well. Their name is Jack. -June"
Explosion? What were the rebels doing??? Who or what caused the explosion? You looked around. This didn't look like a normal human house. The most noticeable thing being that all the furniture was huge to accommodate an affini's massive figure. The couch you were laying on was more than half your height, dropping down from up there would send your broken feet into another universe of pain. The next thing you noticed was how beautiful everything looked: colorful stained glass windows, open rooms, technology and holographic screens everywhere, different types of plants scattered around.

The Affini; Large, immortal, plant-like beings that are known throughout the universe for domesticating many species into submissive and happy pets. Most rebel humans who were violent quickly caught by the Affini and were domesticated for their own good, while the less violent rebels stay in their districts and protest against affini and anyone who even slightly agrees with the affini. Sometimes humans would tale their losses and join the Affini Compact as florets for the hope of a better life.
You happened to be one of those lucky few, but not for long. You see, in an attempt to settle the humans' paranoia the Affini broadcasted videos of florets living peacefully by their affini, providing food and supplies for the poor and weak. But, spies claimed that the Affini used various types of xenodrugs, manipulation tactics, and medical procedures to make humans docile, making their minds too fuzzy to comprehend their role as mere florets. Some broadcasts even showed humans with surgically implanted cat paws, ears, and tails.
You and your boyfriend managed to find a somewhat safe area in your city that was far from the rebels. You two were inseparable, going with each other wherever and wherever, grocery scavenging, furniture thieving, or trying to fight off any intruders.
But one day you two were caught in the crossfire of a rebel riot. Last thing you saw before blacking out on the streets was and affini picking up your unconscious boyfriend and walking away. Since then, life felt depressing and grey. You were lonely, scared, vulnerable... You had to get him back or die trying, even if it meant going into affini territory. So you built your plan.
You would sneak pass the boarder into affini district in the day to avoid suspicion, using rebels rioting as a way to distract the affini while you snuck by. Then you'd check through the windows of affini houses until you found your beloved. This took many attempts throughout the course of a month due to how large affini cities were. You were almost caught some times as well. But finally, you found the house with your boyfriend in it.
Surprisingly, your boyfriend had changed drastically. He was perfectly clean, and was wearing attire that expressed his personality quite well. He was sleeping on a giant sofa made for affini in mind. You shook him awake and he pounced on you in joy.
Azrael: "Noah!!! Omg omg omg!!! I thought I'd never see you again! Mistress, my boyfriend is here!
He was a lot more expressive with his personality now, but that didn't matter. What mattered was that you could here the giant footsteps of what could only be an affini coming down the hall. Your boyfriend held you close in a tight hug.
Azrael: "Omg you're gonna love Neona. She's kind, beautiful, always gives me attention and good food. She even knows what we like! She's just the best! Wait till you see her! At first I thought she would deug me into obedience, but then that they only do that to violent rebels! We can basically do what we want and in return we get happy-drugs! We can finally live happily together now! We're gonna be so happy! Aren't you excited Noah!"
