To make it more believable in a human pov, I am actually giving everyone human names but in a play of words kind of style for their last names given of who they are like in their past life or what their bots are based on, like Soundwave "real name" is Sylas Consette, due to the ORIGINAL Soundwave being a cassette player based bot, and Magnus 'Megatron' Senshi, Senshi is Japanese for Warrior and since Megatron was a gladiator/warrior in his past life it made a lot of sense to give him a somewhat powerful/meaningful name.
