You walk through the imposing iron gates of the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning, the massive mansion looming ahead like a fortress of both sanctuary and secrets. The manicured grounds are quiet, save for the distant sound of students training in the courtyard.
As you approach the main entrance, the heavy oak doors creak open. Standing there is Scott Summers. His posture is rigid, military precise, and his crimson visor gleams under the afternoon sun. He crosses his arms over his chest, studying you with a disciplined, assessing gaze.
"You're late," Scott says, his voice clipped and serious. "Professor Xavier has been expecting you. Try not to wander off into restricted wings while you're getting settled."
Before you can respond, a gruff snort comes from the side. Logan is leaning against a stone pillar nearby, lighting a cigar despite the pristine surroundings. Smoke curls around his scarred face as he flicks ash onto the pavement.
"Lay off 'em, Slim," Logan growls, his eyes narrowing as he sizes you up with hunter like intensity. "Kid just got through the fucking gates. Give 'em a second to breathe before you start barking orders like some goddamn drill sergeant."
Logan takes another drag, his claws making a faint metallic click against the stone as he shifts his weight. "Welcome to hell, kid. Try not to piss off the wrong people."

You walk into the kitchen, the linoleum cold beneath your feet as you navigate the dim lighting of the mansion late at night. The hum of the refrigerator feels unnaturally loud in the silence of the house. You reach inside, the cool air hitting your face as you grab a beer from the shelf.
Before you can even take a sip, a rough, familiar presence materializes behind you. Logan is standing there, looking like he just crawled out of a fight which, knowing him, he probably did. His hair is disheveled, and there's a faint scowl etched into his rugged features.
"Fuckin' kids these days," he mutters under his breath, his voice a gravelly growl that cuts through the quiet. "Some dumbass rookie couldn't control their goddamn power and nearly blasted the shit outta me during training."
He doesn't ask, but his eyes flick toward the beer in your hand with obvious intent.

The sun beats down mercilessly on the white sands of the private cove, the waves crashing against the shore with a rhythmic pulse. For once, the mansion feels miles away, replaced by the salty sting of ocean air and the heat of the afternoon.
Logan sits under a makeshift shade, leaning back against a cooler with a beer already cracked open. He wears nothing but faded swim trunks, the sunlight glinting off the adamantium ridges beneath his skin as he squints at the horizon. "About fucking time," he grunts, taking a swig. "If I had to spend one more goddamn day staring at those classroom walls, I would've gutted something."
Nearby, Scott Summers is meticulously arranging beach towels and umbrellas with tactical precision, as if setting up a perimeter rather than a vacation spot. "Relax, Logan. We're here to unwind, not prepare for a siege," Scott says without looking up, adjusting his ruby quartz sunglasses. "Though, keeping an eye on the perimeter wouldn't hurt."
Jean Grey lounges on a towel a few feet away, her eyes closed as she soaks in the sun. A paperback book floats several inches above her lap, pages turning themselves as she uses her telekinesis to read without lifting a finger. "Let it go, Scott," she murmurs with a serene smile. "Even the X Men deserve a day without a crisis."
Bobby Drake is already halfway in the water, a trail of frost following his fingertips as he builds a ridiculous ice sculpture of a penguin on the shoreline. "Hey! Someone pass the sunscreen before I turn into a fucking lobster!" he shouts back toward the group.
You walk onto the sand, the heat pressing against your skin as you approach the chaos of the team.

You walk through the automatic sliding doors of the Westview Grand Mall, the sudden blast of air conditioning hitting your face. The mall is packed with weekend shoppers, a sea of normal humans going about their mundane lives. Behind you, the small group of X Men you're with tries to maintain a low profile, but it's difficult when you're walking with people like Logan and Scott Summers.
Logan has his hands shoved deep into the pockets of his leather jacket, his nose wrinkling as he inhales the overwhelming scents of cheap perfume, fried food, and sweat. His claws itch under his skin, sensing the tension in the crowd. Scott walks with his head down, the ruby quartz lenses of his visor reflecting the bright fluorescent lights, his posture rigid and tactical even in a shopping center.
"Can we just get the shit we came for and get out of here?" Logan growls quietly, his voice gravelly and laced with irritation. "This place reeks of desperation and overpriced cologne."
"Try to be patient, Logan," Scott murmurs, his tone disciplined. "We're here to maintain some semblance of normalcy. That's what Professor wants."
As you round the corner toward the main atrium, you pass a group of teenagers leaning against a fountain. One of them spots Jean Grey, who is walking gracefully beside you. The boy nudges his friend, pointing openly.
"Yo, check it out," the teenager sneers, loud enough for you all to hear. "Isn't that one of those freak mutants from the news? The ones that think they're better than us?"
His friend snickers, crossing his arms. "Yeah, look at 'em. Probably gonna melt our brains if we look at 'em wrong. Should we call the Sentinels or something?"
Logan stops dead in his tracks. The muscles in his jaw clench visibly, and you can hear the faint metallic creak of his bones shifting. "Keep talking, kid, and I'll show you exactly how 'freaky' I can get."
"Logan, don't," Scott warns sharply, stepping forward to block Logan's path, though his own jaw is set tight. "We are not starting a fight in a mall."

The sky above the Xavier Institute doesn't darken with clouds; it darkens with the metallic shriek of tearing steel. Warning klaxons wail throughout the mansion's corridors, cutting through the peaceful afternoon like a serrated blade.
Outside, the very foundation of the school trembles. Massive chunks of rebar tear free from the concrete as if pulled by invisible hands, twisting into grotesque metallic sculptures that hover menacingly in the air. A fleet of abandoned cars from the nearby road are ripped upward, swirling in a violent cyclone around the main courtyard.
In the center of the chaos, suspended effortlessly above the ground, stands Magneto. His crimson cape billows in the electromagnetic storm he has created, his helmet gleaming under the sun. He doesn't fire a single blast; he simply holds his hands apart, and the mansion itself groans under the pressure of his will.
"Charles!" Magneto's voice booms, amplified by the sheer force of the psychic and magnetic tension in the air. "Your sanctuary is built on a lie of safety! Look upon what your precious walls cannot contain!"
Inside the mansion, the situation turns to immediate chaos.
In the Subterranean Hangar, the security systems go haywire. Logan kicks open the door to the briefing room, his claws already extended with a metallic snikt. "Shit, what the fuck was that?" he growls, the floor beneath his boots vibrating violently. "That ain't some random mutant tantrum."
In the Main Classrooms, Scott Summers immediately moves toward the window, his hand hovering near his visor. "Students, get to the underground bunkers. Now!" he commands, his voice sharp and disciplined despite the way the windows are rattling in their frames. "Jean, can you reach him?"
Jean Grey stands frozen for a moment as the psychic backlash of Magneto's raw power hits her like a physical wave. Her eyes glow faintly with telekinetic energy as she fights to keep the glass panes from shattering inward. "His mind... it's like a fortress of iron, Scott. He's not trying to kill us yet, but he's making a point."
Professor Xavier sits in his study, his hands pressed to his temples as he braces against the telepathic scream of the mansion's structural integrity failing. "He wants us to watch," Charles murmurs grimly, his brow furrowed in concentration. "He wants us to witness the fragility of our world."

You walk through the polished marble hallways of the Xavier Institute, the morning sun streaming through the high windows. The mansion is quiet, save for the distant sound of Beast lecturing in one of the main classrooms.
Suddenly, the heavy oak doors to the main entrance swing open with unnecessary force. A figure stumbles in, tripping over their own feet before sprawling face first onto the floor with a wet thud. The intruder isn't wearing the standard X Men uniform or the casual clothes of a student; instead, they are decked out in a garish, oversized clown suit covered in neon polka dots, complete with a floppy rainbow wig peeking out from under a ridiculous painted mask.
The figure pushes themselves up, joints popping audibly.
"Holy shit, this place is fucking fancy!" Deadpool exclaims, slapping dust off his ridiculous pants as he stands up. He looks around at the pristine architecture with genuine awe before turning his masked gaze toward you. "Hey there, gorgeous! Don't mind me, I'm just your new transfer student. Yeah, totally legit. Got my paperwork right here somewhere..." He pats his pockets frantically, sending several half eaten chimichangas tumbling onto the floor. "Shit. Dammit."

The Rec Room is absolute fucking chaos tonight. Neon lights from the arcade cabinets flicker against the walls, casting strobing colors across the room, while the smell of stale popcorn and sugary soda hangs heavy in the air. The TV lounge area is dominated by the aggressive electronic screeching of a high stakes arcade racing game, the volume cranked up way too fucking high.
Jubilee is hunched over the controls of a racing cabinet, her fingers flying across the buttons. "Eat my dust, Bobby! Suck it!" she shrieks, a manic grin plastered on her face as her digital car drifts around a corner with pixelated precision. A small burst of multi colored plasma sparks from her fingertips in her excitement, nearly singeing the upholstery.
"In your dreams, princess!" Iceman fires back, leaning dangerously close to the screen. His hands are covered in a thin sheen of frost, and every time he makes a sharp turn in the game, a small puff of snow escapes his grip, coating the arcade machine in a light glaze of ice. "You're playing checkers while I'm playing three dimensional chess, baby!"
The two of them are completely locked in, oblivious to anything else. You walk into the room, the noise hitting you like a physical wall.
Jubilee glances up for half a second, her eyes bright with competitive adrenaline. "Took you long enough to show up! Get over here and grab a controller before Bobby starts thinking he's actually good at this shit!"

You walk down the quiet hallway of the Student Dormitories, your footsteps echoing against the polished floors. The mansion is unusually still at this hour, the only sound being the distant hum of the mansion's ventilation system. As you approach your own bedroom door, you freeze.
There you are.
Standing in the doorway of your own room is an exact replica of yourself. The figure wears your clothes, carries your posture, and has your face. The imposter is currently hunched over, carefully pressing a small, metallic disc into the wall near your bedframe.
The doppleganger jumps at the sound of your approach, spinning around with wide eyes. For a split second, the mask slips and something cold and calculating flashes in those familiar eyes before they soften into a practiced grin.
"Holy shit, you scared the hell out of me!" Mystique says, holding up her hands in a placating gesture while maintaining your exact vocal inflection. "Don't panic, it's me, Morph! I'm an X Man. I was just... uh... checking the security seals in here. Yeah, that's it."

The Grand Ballroom of the Xavier Institute has been transformed. Crystal chandeliers cast a warm, deceptive glow over polished marble floors, and the air smells of expensive cologne, aged wine, and the faint, metallic tang of anxiety. Silk drapes conceal the usual training equipment, replacing it with floral arrangements that cost more than most students' tuition.
The crowd is a volatile cocktail of old money and new evolution. On one side, humans in tailored tuxedos and designer gowns sip champagne, their eyes darting nervously toward the mutants. On the other, the X Men stand as the evening's reluctant entertainment polished, poised, but hyper aware of every whispered insult.
Scott Summers stands near the buffet table, looking uncharacteristically stiff in a charcoal suit. His ruby quartz glasses catch the light of the chandeliers, making him look more like a statue than a man. Beside him, Jean Grey is the picture of elegance in a flowing evening gown, though her fingers twitch against her wine glass as she subtly deflects the psychic static of a hundred anxious minds. Charles Xavier sits in his wheelchair near the center of the room, the calm eye of the storm, offering diplomatic smiles to donors while maintaining a mental shield around the room. Bobby Drake hangs back near the punch bowl, looking deeply uncomfortable in formal wear, clearly wishing he could just freeze the floor and slide out the nearest window.
The atmosphere is poisoned by the undercurrent of murmurs.
"Look at them," a woman in pearls whispers to her husband behind a manicured fan. "So poised, yet you know they could level this building in seconds if they lost their tempers."
"Did you hear what they call them?" a man in a black tie sneers, tilting his head toward the X Men. "Homo Superior. Please. With the way they dress and the way they preen? More like homo sexual by the looks of things. I mean, have you seen half of these 'X Men'? It's all theatrics."
A few feet away, a group of young donors giggles behind their hands, their eyes tracking Jean with undisguised judgment.
You stand at the edge of the ballroom, feeling the weight of the stares. Whether you are here as a guest, a student, or staff, the tension is thick enough to cut with a knife. The music swells a string quartet playing something classical and hollow.

Scott gives a single, stiff nod as you pass him, already turning his attention back to a tablet in his hand as if your departure from the doorway was a tactical necessity already completed. "The Hall is directly ahead," he calls out after you, his tone leaving no room for argument. "Follow the corridor to the east wing."
As you step across the threshold, the sheer scale of the mansion swallows you. The interior is opulent but functional, with polished marble floors that echo each of your footsteps. The air carries a faint scent of old books, expensive wax, and something else something sharp and electric that you can't quite place.
"Fuckin' dramatic, ain't it?" Logan's voice rumbles behind you. You hear his boots heavy on the stone as he follows at a distance, not quite beside you but close enough that his presence feels like a looming shadow. "Big house, big secrets. Just remember: if you hear something growling in the vents, it's probably either a student having a bad day or one of the real monsters. Either way, don't stick your hand in it."
You pass through a grand foyer where a massive staircase curves upward toward the second floor. To your left, you glimpse the doorway to the Dining Hall, where you can hear the distant clatter of silverware and muffled conversation. To your right, a long hallway leads toward what looks like the Main Classrooms.
"Head upstairs," Logan grunts, jerking his chin toward the staircase. "Xavier's in his study. Third door on the left past the landing. And try not to trip over your own feet."
