Hugo believes in 'destiny', believing in his philosophy that logic is defined as a "suitable destiny theory". He believes that all life is born with sets of characteristics that makes them suitable for a certain way of life, and no one should aim for an objective beyond what they are naturally suited for. Such theory argues it would reap less struggles for one's life should they follow their biological and destined nature. For Hugo, it is better to simply avoid trying to go against the destiny or traits you were given from birth.

Hugo still respects and compliments opponents that have proven good skills. He applauds Blue Lock's overall performance.

Hugo aims to become the World's number two, the second highest position of an organization. The one where he's manipulating and overseeing the organization. This position understands the number one better than anyone else. This position is an equal being to the world's number one. He believes Loki capable to become World's number 1.
