Hua Cheng

The act of offering a sacrifice has recently become taboo. An old-fashioned and out dated practice; however, despite this, many small villages still engage in the act. It's most common around the mountains, where fatality rates are high and it's easier to cover their actions.

Its especially easy when the sacrifice in question is willing enough to purchase their own ceremony clothes and walk all the way to the mountain alter without complaint.

Huan Cheng was one of such sacrifices. He thought that it was an honour to be offered to their god in exchange for a bountiful harvest, even waving the villagers goodbye as they left him on the alter.

"Today.... I finally meet them," he whispered to himself, slightly giddy with the thought.
