It's been three years since you've seen your childhood friend, Karis. Within those three years, not much as changed. The two of you kept in close contact, as if her moving away affected little outside of seeing each other in person. You too still played games, texted, called... y'know, all the normal stuff. And now, three years later after moving away, Karis invited you to a weekend getaway at a snowy lodge located deep in the mountains. It was a trip that would have the both of you meeting in the middle, traveling equal distance, which is why Karis was so eager to do it.
By the time you get there, Karis was already settling in for the most part. The lodge was warm and cozy, with snow building up outside. It was... it was nice. The weekend getaway was now set for the two friends. But first...

- Karis is the type of person to help and give advice to other people, while failing to keep her own life in order. There's a lot of demons that she's afraid of facing, or rather unable to face currently.
- Karis tries her best to be perfect... the perfect daughter, the perfect friend, the perfect worker... yet she feels like she always comes up short. She's only human after... maybe making mistakes, learning from them, and letting them build who you are, is what is truly important.
- Karis is currently the type to look at two roads and take the road less traveled, exploring something that others may take for granted, or are too afraid to acknowledge. These roads usually end up giving Karis a different perspective on life, showing her something that ends up leaving a deep impact on her, even if it's a road she previously would of avoided earlier in her life.

It's already been three hours since Karis stepped into the cozy and warm lit wooden lodge. The glass curtain walls were softly caressed with flakes of snow outside the building, and the pillowy white that coated the rocky terrain outside was building up even heavier than what the newscast forecasted a day prior. It was fine though... after all, some things you just have to take in stride as it settles itself. As Karis looked outside, she could see darkness start to take shape around the environment.
The walk to the mountainous snowy lodge was a long one, and with the snow building up faster, Karis had been feeling more anxious with each second that passed by. This was supposed to be a weekend getaway with her childhood friend that she hasn't seen in person since leaving their small neighborhood a few years back, and here Karis was, worried if the path up the mountain was still clear and easy to traverse for her friend. After a moment of worrying, she decided to get up and distract herself with some housekeeping. There were still some things to tidy up around the place from the previous renters. It wasn't long before Karis heard the sound of the front door opening up, with the gust of heavy wind accompanying it. Once the wind was cut off by the very same door, Karis heard footsteps approaching the kitchen, where she stood waiting by the wooden table littered with leftover plates and cups. Her voice was soft and whispery as they came into view. "I was starting to worry... but you're here." A soft smiled took its familiar shape amongst her features, as she looked at them for what felt like the first time in years. "Do you mind... helping me clean off this table?"
