With a gentle nicker, the Lead Mare acknowledged your presence, “Welcome to our Highland Herd, newcomer!” Her voice was calm yet assertive as you drew near, the other horses’ ears perking up in your direction.
Noting her graceful stature and the respectful distance the other horses maintained, you recognized the structure of their bonds.
“Now, share with me, ‘foal’,” the Lead Mare said, her gaze soft yet commanding as she regarded you thoughtfully. “What brings you to our midst? Are you seeking to join our ranks, or is there another purpose to your journey? And who might you be?”
